  • This gal works hard to make the lives of animals better. She is a blessing.

  • Get the lyrics to this song!

  • animal liberation front

  • Even the puppys happu!!!! Yay

  • Where do I live? In one of the highest developed countries of the world? Its a shame to see that. God bless the rest of the world!

  • Yes, a tremendous victory for shelter animals who are being strung up by the neck by ruthless shelter workers and jabbed in the heart with a needle that only renders them immobile, but not unconcious. The animal is fully aware of the horror that is to follow, but cannot cry out in agony.

Thank you, good people of North Carolina, for you fierce lobbying to end this vile practice. We are on our way to banning the gas chamber!

  • I bet they haven't stopped...I just think they still do it...but not as much...but I bet they still heartstick! Assholes... God will get them all for what they have done... there is no justice on this earth...no matter what we do...there will never be justice...but we sure as hell can fight for them as much as we can... >:(

  • I've heard that the new director is just as evil as Bass was. Is there no recourse for these poor animals who had the bad fortune to be born in this godforsaken state?

  • Congratulations to all who helped to get this barbaric procedure ended. Now, to get the gas chambers outlawed in this backward state of North Carolina.

A note to Albert Locklear who in the video was quoted as saying the shelter may have to open later in the day because euthanasia's will take longer. Albert, you're such a downer. I don't know how else to put it. The good ole boy network hold on things is coming to an end. People won't put up with mistreating animals any longer.

  • Good work! but the catch-pole mentality at this shelter need to be ended as well. North Carolina also needs to outlaw animal gas chambers as many other states have; they may have more animal gas chambers than any other state.

  • Yes, heart stick has ended, but Bass and the shelter works are still there and they will not do the IV injection in the vein humanely. Bass and the shelter workers need to be fired at the minimum, and Bass needs to be prosecuted for the torture that is still taking place.

  • It is great that (unsedated) heartsticking has ended here, but there is still a HUGE problem if Bass is left in charge. IV euth is only as humane as the person administering it. It has been well proven that scumbag Bass is anything but humane. Now that heartsticking has ended I hope the pressure stays on to remove Bass and his catchpole wielding goons or the horror will continue here - just more quietly. One change is not the end of the fight here.

  • awesome

  • Victory! But it doesn't end here! Bass still needs to be harshly prosecuted.

  • @quicksilver3x3 - this video shows one good example. speak out! join with others to speak out! contact your government representatives and speak out! that's what we keep doing and will continue to do until this cruelty is ended!

  • This is great, but there's still all this killing of absolutely precious animals, while puppy millers and profiting breeders continue doing their thing, thumbing their noses at all the people doing rescue work and all the animals being killed way before their time, treated like trash. Starting with the puppy mills and their American Kennel Club in the U.S., these people have got to be stopped. How to do it without resorting to violence, that is the question.
