@glee8660 It is usually pretty hit and miss until later in the afternoon. One reason is the ski crowd comes out after 11 so it's hard to find some quiet places to fish. Fish are still being caught fairly shallow. Visit the various Kokanee Forums for the latest reports. Message me and I can give you those sites.
Hey another great video...I'm a fan of your videos since I fish at Berryessa too. Do you consider a downrigger imperative when fishing for kokes? What time of the day do you recommend? and where about at the lake?
@glee8660 Tks. Make sure to subscribe to my channel to get automated updates. Downriggers are very essential for kokanee fishing as they need water below 60 degrees and as summer comes along that gets lower and lower. They are just about out of range without downriggers at Berryessa unless you have some weights. They were 20 to 40 feet this trip with the King at 50 feet. Typicall in the summer at most valley lakes they will be in the 60+ feet range down to 120 depending on the lake.
HEY im one of jason's nehbors and friends love the fishing vids keep up the good work
