Megadeth is just far better, though.

Marty Friedman is easily a better guitarist than Kirk Hammett. Hell, Dave Mustaine's better than Kirk.

Also, Metallica doesn't have a certain "feel" to them. With Megadeth, they have a political paranoia thing going on and you can just sense it in their music, even aside from lyrics. With Iron Maiden, it's sheer adrenaline and mystery. With Slayer it's that "Evil" aura. With Judas it's that epic fantasy.

And they are back on track, I wonder how their album is going to be this year, The certain image of metallica will be more clearer then. The certain "feel" of metallica is various. But that made them more original in my opinion. I like almost every metal band from the 80's as long it's made with hart and soul if you know what i mean.
