In my opinion, the two greatest U.S. Presidents were Lincoln and FDR, in that order. Lincoln saved the Union when no one else had the will or ability to do so. FDR may have prevented a Fascist or Communist revolution (yes, the Depression was that bad), and he had the foresight to recognize the danger of Hitler and to insist that we be prepared for war. He led us successfully through the war, dying just before it was over.

Rest in Peace Franklin... we miss you... all of us... You served as one of our nation's greatest leaders when we needed you very much and did it for over 12 years, I never saw a man who aged so much from the burdens his office placed upon him... I only wish you could've seen the end of that horrible war.

the measure of greatness of a person is what that person did for the least of his brothers and for those in need. in that measure FDR was a true example of what every good president should strive to be.

FDR did so much for ALL people.

So did his wife.

He brought us out of the Great Depression and onto victory in WWII and prosperity.

Along the way, he battled many things including Polio.

Not since President Lincoln has a president been through so much.

The problem with today's leaders is that they do not have the vision, guts, ability or the love of an FDR.

Franklin D. Roosevelt Americas leader! This president set the bar in which no other president has come close to achieving what Mr Roosevelt achieved during his terms! Mr Roosevelt Sculpture deserves to be on Mt. Rushmore more any of the three that are their now due to all his works and dedication to the usa. Thank you President Franklin D. Roosevelt for all you did for america.
