  • Hey @OnePotChef. Thank you for the recipe and I'm a 13 year old boy and suppose my mum. But I have 2 questions.

1: can I use Cadbury chocolate or melted nuttela instead of the chocolate buttons and thicken cream? And also 2: Can I use a similar substitute for icing sugar? The shops are far from my place and want to make a surprise when mum comes home!

  • These cookies turned out great! Im taking them to a xmas party at work tomorrow. Thank you David! I was fighting my friends off from eating them before the party...LOL

  • Oops Im using heavy whipping cream... Same thing right? :/

  • @BrittLeanne652 That's fine - any cream that can be whipped is fine ;)

  • these look bangin

  • would it be possible to make this using 'white chocolate' instead of cocoa? My mother is allergic to dark chocolate.

  • @gobin56 You can use any chocolate you like for the ganache filling, however there is no substitute for cocoa in the cookies. You will need to use a different cookie recipe if you don't want to use cocoa ;)

  • Yummmmmmm!

  • What kind of cream would you use

  • @gumgala Whipping cream

  • @Azurestories would thickened cream work?

  • please make more recepies using only blenders instead food procesor

  • I am definitely making this! Thank you!

  • What could be a substitute for thickning cream?

  • Oh very easy and looks yummy ! I might use this recipe to give my grand-pa for christmas :) thank you !

  • I love you for this!! Hahaha

  • Tasty for sure!

  • Will it be ok to just melt the chocolate without any cream to put in the middle of the cookies!?

  • can it be made without ganache just simple cookies???

  • Very impressive and looks delicious(:

  • mmmm... yummmmy!!!

  • Hi! Do we have to sift the flour before adding it in to the food processor?

  • @eiredar No need to sift it, the food processor will get rid of any lumps ;)

    keep it up OnePotChef!

    :D

  • can i use Blentec blender

    It sounds a bit. Wrong

  • Oh David, you are positively evil! I love it! Can't wait to try this recipe out.

  • Those look very Good and Decadent! Yummy!

  • You're so mean! Sitting there eating those cookies, while I have none! LOL! Those look amazing!

  • i wanna use coconut powdwe instead of icing sugar

  • yum yum yum...i am gonna make these... thanks for tthe video!!

  • Excellent idea for a home made gift :) Now, i know what to gift my neighbors when they complain my dishes are hot hot hot!

  • can I use a blender instead?

  • @lhtlinh3192 No, a blender is not a good substitute for a food processor as they are not powerful enough. Use the bowl method mentioned in the video if you don't have a food processor ;)

  • YUM! They look scrumptious!

  • Great recipe, would love some feedback about my recipe

  • Very nice!!! You sounded like you were ready to orgasem during the tasting.

  • may i know how much does a food processor cost in australia? cos we get one for RM 900++, about 300++ aud

  • @willie22233 Mine is mid-range model and it cost about AU$100 - but you can get cheaper or more expensive models depending on brand and motor power ;)

  • What good is Christmas if you can't have treats?

  • I'm making these this weekend with my daughters hehe yummy can't wait:)

  • David I am confused. I know what you mean by "cream you would use to make whipped cream" but in the video yours already looks like whipped cream? Should I whip my cream then put it in or? Im making these right now the batter smells delicious lol

  • @MrButterworth24 In Australia, we have something called "Thickened Cream" which is basically ordinary whipping cream with a little gelatin added to make it extra thick. Regardless of what cream you use, there is need to whip it first, just put it straight in - it'll work the same ;)

  • Hey how long will these delicious cookies keep in the fridge?

  • @Zengster007 Keep them in an airtight container in the kitchen cupboard for up to one week. If it's a hot day, it might be better to keep them in the fridge ;)

  • omfg how good do they look

  • Hey....how about Fudge!

  • Nom, nom, nom!! (Am gettin FAT over here!).......go ahead-u can have the other two! =P

  • They look amazing o_0

  • @computergurl12 I've done Chocolate Chip Cookies already - it's on the "Desserts" playlist on my channel. I hope you enjoy it :)

  • @OnePotChefShow Thanks so much!

  • Simply delicious! I think I'll use white chocolate instead... who knows? Anyway, I wanted to ask. How about your own version of Rice Pudding?

  • @CommanderGalos I've done a simple rice pudding - you'll find it in the "Desserts" playlist on my channel page ;)

  • Thanks! Happy Holidays :D

  • are they crunchy? or more like a snickerdoodle?

  • @thebowlzack They are firm, slightly moist and a little crumbly - just like regular shortbread cookies ;)

  • this seems really easy XD

    great, thanks

  • David, please stop hogging all the awesome! :)

  • @ScrapyardApe I'll do my best :P

  • yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Looked like a big chocolate hit too! mmmm delicious and rich cookaaahhhhhhsss :P

  • my mouth is watering already!

  • i am in the mist of studying for my last final and i saw this video pop up in my subscription box and had to click it! I will reward myself with some chocolaty goodness as soon as my finals are over in 3 hours! soooooo hungry

  • I really love your videos & recipes , I tried many of them and all of them tasted like heaven! thank you, for contributing your recipes to us !

  • I think these would be great with mint extract in place of vanilla. I'm going to try this!

  • @Lillian0813 Sounds delicious :)

  • Your heavy whipping cream is a lot thicker than anything I've ever seen here. Our HWC (or what I could find) is just a little thicker than whole milk, so still pretty runny.

  • wow yummy and amazing xx

  • David im gonna buy either a mixer set or a food processor...which would u recommend? THNX!

  • @Pauly69s I recommend a food processor and a small hand mixer - that's usually enough for everyday baking. A full size mixer is good if you do a lot of baking but they cost a lot more ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Thank U Sir...i dont do a lot of baking butt i see the things u do and it inspires me...plus i want to make something special for my family on my own for Christmas...))

  • yummy!!!!!!!!!! thanks for sharing :D

  • That looks so good. Thanks for sharing!!!

  • are they crunchy or soft?

  • @crazycookie66 They are Shortbread cookies, so they are firm, slightly moist and a bit crumbly ;)

  • @crazycookie66 i think they were soft

  • @crazycookie66 I believe they're soft. Only because when he bites into it you don't really hear any crunch, buuut don't know for sure:) Just thought I'd mention that!

  • @crazycookie66 i guess they are soft... it didn't sound "crunchy" when he tasted it. i believe it depends on how much you'll bake them too

  • May I ask, are these crispy when baked? Or do they get soft? I was waiting for the ''crunching'' sounds when you tasted it, but I heard nothing :D

  • @846524162 They are Shortbread cookies, so they are firm, slightly moist and a bit crumbly ;)

  • chocolate and heavy cream..... think i will have that on its own.

  • @MoneyAndPeople LOL that's tempting ;)

  • Those look amazing!! @____@

  • Wow so fab and easy! I will be making these for sure as a xmas gift for the family and friends! <3

  • looks delicious ! :D

  • Very early to be posting a video mate ;) These look nice, might make them for christmas :D

  • @WiiiCKeDFuRY The early bird gets the chocolate ;)

  • @WiiiCKeDFuRY

Never too early! Only 12 days before christmas!!

  • They look so nice :D

  • under the 100 :D

  • i thought it was pronouced ganja. lol.

  • Could you use a hand mixer?

  • @rachiibuu A hand mixer would not get the right consistency. If you don't have a food processor, use the method described in the video to integrated the butter and dry ingredients by hand ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Thought I'd ask :P My kids will make a big mess making these lol.

    Thanks :)

  • You are so aaaawesome!! :D

  • Woo Hoo !

  • Yay soo nice :D yaaaaayy

  • Yummy!
