lol lol the ol' which DAW is better argument eh? pointless. No DAW is gonna save you from the desire for quick results. Music takes WORK, RESEARCH and EFFORT.
thanks man, i'm thinking about making my own electro/house/fidget remix in ableton, so this helped... I already made a dub remix and some mash-ups... they are already on youtube...if you have the time... what do you think about them?
@SonicAcademy haha expert opinion. The high synth just doesn't have the same effect they do in the actual FLG song(maybe there's a lowpass on them or something, the notes sound too dull). Very very good tutorial though, don't get me wrong!
Don't listen to their weird criticisim. I made this track using your electro house tutorial because you make it so easy to do, i did it on ableton myself not puting on the original track and just adding few things or changing few things. Well it's almost exactly the same check it out in my SC Rokas M - Sonic Academy
The tutorials are awesome. Progressive house tutorial, electro house and the tech tips are the one's i like the most.
@r34ct the high notes are fail. hahaha. Put something by you on and we can hear it. Thanks of sonic academy we can learn a lot of stuff. I recomend every dude to sign on sonic academy its a fantastic job they do. (Ok except the high notes these are only correct from the 'swedish house mafia and Don Highnoteoni).
@74Drosera Fuck dude chill ooouuuttt =( , I have a bunch of my songs/remixes on my profile if you really wanna take the time to check it out... and I absolutely agree Sonic Academy does fucking amazing work.
@MistaSly There's a lot in a name,"Fruity?" lol just that, I've used everything, started with Mix man,Acid, then FL, then Reason, onto Ableton, then Protools, Qbase and Logic,... Each has their advantages, Ableton (LIVE) obviously has greater ability to use as a live instrument,i.e.MIDI controllers.I use version 8 with Waves plugins for all my productions,is WAY more user friendly than rest, also I use theAPC-40exclusive controller along with vinyl and cd's when performing. It's all personal tho
@MistaSly Like the others have said, its all personal preference. It's not what you use, it's how you use it. I personally started out on Fruity Loops and Garageband just tossing loops around, but have no worked my way into ReWiring Reason into Ableton to provide myself with what I consider endless possibilities when it comes to music production. The Sonic Academy Ableton tutorials are a great way to begin sinking your hands into the program right off the bat.
when i go in the arrengement view and press play it doesnt make an sound. i made a song pressed play and nothin happened any ideas whats wrong anyone?
@huwyboy1 if you've been working in session view then you either need to press the global record (at the top of the screen with play, stop etc) which will record anything your doing in session view into arrangement. Alternatively you can click and hold the clip you want with the mouse then press tab and drop it where you want in the arrangement view.
Ok i've been to the site I've bought and watched the daft punk French house tutorials wasn't very impressed with it. They use other plugins that don't come with ableton and use their own samples so it really doesn't teach you anything. I want to buy this course it seems more in depth but i can't find it. Do you not offer it any longer?
m8 its really gd and it does say its an intro if you read the bars at the bottom if sonic showed people how to remix on youtube what would be the point of running money cources lol
now why is it crap? if you have the balls to say it, explain it. can you do better? but your right, it is crap, listen to it, theres no skill in it, its ableton, kids use ableton in primary school. because creating music on a computer with an advanced program is, well, easy.
@MysteryNomad huh so whats your producer name? i wanna hear your bomb tracks on beatport im sure your signrd on the biggest labels and your production skills are probably some of the best around we are waiting genius
I agree with djjoshua007, I didn't learn s@#t from that video either. Where is the tutorial in this??? And you expect people to PAY MONEY on your website for this crap? You gotta be joking...
dude u have to subscribe to there website and then u get all the tutorials in 23 parts! its actually really good, teaching people like me how to program vst and arrangements ect!!
@djsuperstar717 there is no real structure in house tracks your own creativity is what's stopping you, they mostly have a smaller break in beginning and a larger one past the middle of the track, but some have no break at all so up to you buddy.....d^^b
this is nothing like le grand

Very very average track. Electro is dead?
By fail, I think he means they sound crap. Weak fruity-loops style samples.
The tutorials are very good though.
