  • BUT MUM I WANT A KOMODO!

  • lol @ snapping turtle's neck looking like dick

  • @dantetheemo actually the snapping turtle is a reptile not an amphibian

  • Why do tarantulas make bad pets?

  • fyi turantula is not a reptile nor is snapper its an amphebian and the turantula is a fucking spider

  • There are a lot of people who treat burmese pythons poorly, so I would prefer people to say they make bad pets to put bad owners off and good owners would be more informed.

  • I dont like this its an inslt to me

  • corbin maxey is a dumb-head

  • oh and my iggy kinda trolls around the house like a cat until night where put him in a homemade cage

  • i have an iggy and there gr8 pets

  • I have an Albino Burmese Python, and have had several great iggys and several large burmese over the years. :)

  • The iguana is all like BITCH WHY U HATIN

  • I'm sorry but did she just say iguanas are not great pets?!?! Maybe if someone doesn't know how to keep them... otherwise she should shut the fuck up as there are many loving owners who much prefer something unique over something generic... like a Golden Retriever.

  • You people obviously aren't listening to what he is saying. These animals are not good BEGINNER PETS. If you have owned reptiles for years and know how to deal with them, go right ahead and get an iguana, python, tarantula, etc. He never once said that NO ONE should own these animals. He states that if you are a experienced reptile owner, that they might be the right pet for you. But probably not for a kid who just thinks snakes and lizards are cool and has no idea how to care for them properly.

  • @Halfmachineholly Didn't he say no one should keep crocodilains as pets?

  • @Romanova2779 He did I overlooked that, but what is your point? Why would anyone WANT to own something like that as a pet? Honestly, I wouldn't recommend anyone to own one either. It's a fucking alligator. You'd have to be an idiot to own one of these as pets. The rest are perfectly fine, that's the point I was trying to get across.

  • iguanas r fuckin awesome

  • iguanas are great pets asshole! dont listen to this dude he has no idea what he is talking about

  • i love my pet alligator

  • he makes them sound so much worse than they really are.. typical dumbass

  • i want the snapping turtle to bite his fuckin face off. i catch them all the time, and this queer guy doesnt knw anything hes talking about. He needs to stop being such a douche bag and go fuck booger some more

  • if i wazz that python i would have bit that fagget and why isnt he talking to the camera that dum bitch doesnt no wat he is saying

  • i have a pet snapping turtle. i saved him when he was about a month old and now hes a little over 2 years old and hes the tamest pet ive seen. ive heard that once hes around the age he is now he will snap at me but heres the thing he doesnt even hiss

  • I also don't agree with rose hair tarantulas being bad pets.

  • @snipesnrifles and pinktoe tarantula's I do worry about the beautiful Green Bottle Blue :D

  • In the description it says "Why they should not be kept as pets" No, the guy NEVER said reptiles shouldn't be kept as pets, the closest he got to it was saying, animals like burmese pythons and animals that require lots of space, money, and time to take care of shouldn't be kept my begginers. That DOES NOT mean people shouldn't keep reptiles, he even named some begginer reptiles. And reptiles are awesome, my bearded dragon is sitting on my shoulder right now, not hurting me in any way.

  • @snipesnrifles notice that in the description it is referring to those rescued animals, not necessarily all reptiles

  • Sadly, most people who buy reptiles for pets don't know what the fuck they're doing and the reptile's existence is miserable.

  • USARK! protect reptile owners rights.

  • A friend of mine had an iguana, his air conditioner got on fire, the iguana died intoxicated

  • I love my dogs and bearded drag >:]

  • i love my tarantula <3

  • Why isn't this working for me? this video is broken...

  • i have a green iguana and she is one of the best pets i have ever had , as long as u are educated on how to take care of them and have the right habitat there great pets! :)

  • does he ever let that girl talk??

  • booger? the iguana?

  • hes just jealous i hope that burm will eat you coz he is hearing you !!!!!!!!!!

  • stick to hamsters people :P

  • charlotte wasn't a reptile.....?

  • Burmese pythons are one of the best pet snakes!!!!

  • @snakeloverboi yea but not for a beginner ... also reptiles are not like dogs where you only need to give them food ... some reptiles need UV light, specific heat , humidity, diet... or the owner could kill them... also burmese are very aggressive when is feeding time...like i said they are not as easy as dog... i love reptiles tho and wouldn't change them for anything!

  • @snakeloverboi for experienced reptile owners.

  • @snakeloverboi not for beginners, though

  • @snakeloverboi To bad they are banning them ):

  • @snakeloverboi werd up i got one wen it was 6cm for 300$ now its 6ft lol my shxxt tuff shes a girl sexy 2

  • @snakeloverboi Yea its the rock that is bad!!!

  • @snakeloverboi you are so right

  • @snakeloverboi Uh, no.

  • does anyone agree with me that wenever u go to get a reptile u should be surveyed and have an employee of that shop take a look at ur house of the enclosure u plan to keep ur reptile at reply to me of wat u think

  • i actually started with a western fence lizard then a leopard gecko then a bearded dragon and currently i hav a red iguana i read up on all of them with how to care books from my local reptile shop before i got them

  • well i have an iguana and it has been said that iguanas grow to there enviorment. so if you had a semi big cage it will be semi big. so my iguana has been the same size for a couple years now and it makes a good pet

  • @makelovenotwar59 iguanas are fine for that but if u have somethin like a ball python and u keep it in a small tank until it grows out of it it could cause a genetic disfunction and cause its head to be smaller than its body and over time it can caUSE PROBLEMS BECAUSE u aint gonna want to buy 15 to 20 mouses instead of a rabit and could cause death

  • @makelovenotwar59 by head not size of body i meant the ball pythons head the size anothewrs would be if in the right size enclosure

  • there is no way im going buy that thing it eat and kill human and stronger then human and yes that can kill bigger beast

  • They need to do more of these... I work at a pet store with plenty of different kinds of reptiles and we CONSTANTLY have people coming in to make impulse purchases with NO idea what they're getting into... It's awful.

  • That guy seems so likeable.

  • i have a python and many snappers

  • 3:30 thats what i came forr

  • what do you feed the turtle? twinkies?

  • Cool! He said corn snakes are actually good beginner pets. It's actually one of the kinds I would really like to own.

  • Some people do give up their large reptiles when they realize they are more than they can handle, but this is much more common with dogs. Millions are dumped and killed every year. However, you don't hear people saying dogs make bad pets, even though they make horrible pets for many people. My dog was much more demanding and harder to care for than any reptile pet I've ever owned.

  • *should not be ruled out* is what I meant to say

  • Personally I am 17 years old and have a giant green iguana. While it does take a long time to tame they are amazing animals and should be ruled out because of size. And while Burmese pythons are not the best pets ball pythons are a good alliterative. But I agree with the comment made two weeks ago, the person on this video states several times that he wants to treat these animals for more advanced keepers. A green iguana was my first but hes doing great. Research is key is this message.

  • @ap051095 The point that he was trying to make, was not that these animals can't be great pets, because they can, for people that are willing able and prepared for what they will become and what they will require to keep happy and healthy.

Sadly there are far too many people that would go buy a baby iguana, or a python without researching or realizing that when it grows up it's going to need much more than an aquarium and a heat lamp.

Those are the people this video is geared to.

  • iguanas ruuuuuuuuuuuuuule ..... thumbs up if u feel the same

  • everybody belongs at home including animals.

  • people like this really piss me off

  • @tevuahc amen

  • I love my reptiles, they're better then most cats and dogs

  • @SetsunaArcher Well guess what, that reptile well never "love" you as a dog or even cat. I will use reptile pets as either decoration or a food supply. Moronic idiots.

  • @pitviper71 how on earth do you plan to use them as food supply? what are you Malaysian?? They are relatively easy to maintain compared to mammals- as they require little or no exercise and are low maintenance once they set up is planned and established. I dont need to walk my ball python, nor do I need to give it 24/7 attention- I play with it whenever i want, and If i go on vacation or am out of town for 2 weeks I need only make sure it has enough water

  • @SetsunaArcher yo i have a burmese python and a iguana faget and i igree with u wit the python thing but iguanas naaa iguanas if ther so bad pets y is it the mosed selling reptile in the world

  • I have a bearded dragon but for people who like pets that are "different" bearded dragons and leopard geckos just may not be their thing. I LOVE monitors, but my parents wouldent let me have a monitor over 3 ft, but the problem with monitors is that big monitors are cheap, small ones are expensive and hard to take care of. so i bought a red/yellow hybrid Ackie monitor for $300, which died 7 months later of an infection i didnt know about at the time.

  • *babysat

  • I don't understand why people always say bearded dragons are easy and make good pets. I baby 2 adult beardies for my friend for a couple months and they were more work than my 4 chameleons. I have owned a lot of different kinds of reptiles and they were the only ones I wanted to give back as soon as possible lol. They were cool, just too messy and now I know I would not want one.

  • listen to the points he's making, he's saying that people often see these and want to get them as pets when they may not have experience in owning reptiles before and don't realise how difficult it is. he maybe should have suggested some reptiles that are good for beginners, but he isn't saying all reptiles should not be kept as pets. if you have the experience and facilities and the time and money to care for them, then go for it!

  • ok this guy is saying they r bad pets there awesome pets just because burms and others get 15 ft or bigger doesn't make them bad pets!!!!

  • Tarantulas aren't reptiles :p

  • snakes are cool

  • my first pet was a green iguana... i still have him and he is healthy and happy.... i get what they are talking about, but i have done fine and i think many others have too.

    come on!

  • he should have brought a monitor lizard

  • well green iguanas make good pets for beginners and i got a pacman frog and 2 bd's and then got a green iguana but now i have an african clawed frog, a red iguana, 2 ball pythons, 3 bearded dragons had eggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 2 green iguanas, a pacman frog, an armiddilo lizard, a painted turtle, a red eared slider, 2 tadpoles, a hamster, a mountain dragon, a savannah monitor, a vieled chameleon, a crested gecko, a house gecko, 2 leopard geckos, 4 frogs, and a whites tree frog

  • wtf rosey hair tarantulas make brilliant pets

  • i thought that was my nob at first

  • It's important for people to hear this because otherwise they buy these animals and then don't take proper care of them (maybe even without knowing it).

  • "Reptiles that don't make good pets" For really really stupid people.

  • I'd never give away my iguana. It's sad because if people don't take proper care of them they can lose their tail of claws super easy. My iguana had an infection that spread really quickly and although he lost two claws, i saved his tail because i got immediate medial attention. Alot of people don't see the signs and don't give them proper nutrition (give them lettuce - that's a no no!). They are beautiful lizards :)

  • these are only bad pets if ur a complete retard, DURP

  • 5 words: kiss. my. scaly. loving. ass.

  • what a wanker

  • i thought one of them was gonna get bit or something, thats 6 minutes ill never get back

  • It's not much about having a bad pet, the problem is having a bad owner.

It's stupid people who let the freaking snake eat their family and then release it in the wild.

  • lol iv had two of the pets he said "wernt good pets". they were great pets.

  • they are just stupid cold blooded mindless drones, most reptile lovers are anti social freaks!

  • @JakesToons Screw you, you're pry just mad cause you have no friends

  • @JakesToons You're an idiot. That's like saying all Pit bull owners are ignorant dog fighting skinheads/rappers. Reptiles are some of the most beautiful and amazing creatures alive. Some of us just grew up loving dinosaurs. ;3

  • @thekinkycupcake Lol, i have snakes, I just don't obsess over them like anti social virgin losers

  • @JakesToons Who's obsessing? A person can't love reptiles without being obsessed or socially inept? Your logic makes no sense. I love reptiles. I own a beautiful 8 year old male iguana. I am, by no definition, a virgin. Stop being ignorant.

  • @JakesToons whats so wrong with obsessing over them? EVERYONE obsessives over something. I obsess over snakes and when was it bad to be an anti social vigirn loser? You probably are one and I'll admit I'm proud to admit it. I don't go spending all my time and money in a bar getting drunk.

  • @JakesToons I have to say that is probably the most ignorant thing I've read all day, and i live in Mississippi. While it is true that most animals, warm or cold blooded, are not capable of complex thought, they a certainly not "mindless", and they are MOST certainly not drones. I wonder, could you even define the word "drone" without looking it up? Do the whole human race a favor and devolve back into a simpler mammal incapable of complex thoughts because frankly no one wants to hear it.

  • @realanightmare lol boo hoo pussy, ill shoot a lizard in my back yard tommorow in your honor

  • @JakesToons wow that was intelligent. i can see that there is actually no reason for you to revert to any sort of simpler creature as there is not one in existence. You obviously are not capable of complex thought so really having a conversation with you is the about the most pointless thing i can think of. in fact, i'm starting to feel less evolved just reading your comments.

  • Man, everyone is so butthurt over this video. The guy didn't say reptiles make bad pets. He's explaining how many of the common pet store reptiles are bad first reptiles for the inexperienced owner. Someone who has not done their research/never owned a single reptile would not be suited for a 6 foot iguana or a massive Burmese python. The sad fact is that reptile rescues and even zoos are flooded with people that bought that cute little iguana and now want someone to take it because it got big.

  • @BondageGirlJ Funnily enough my first herp was a black spiny-tailed Ig and she's thriving. The guy most certainly does say that those reps dont make good pets and that is just completely untrue. Should really say some people dont make good owners.

  • @Reaver2K7 It's great that your iguana is doing so well. :) The problem is that for your iguana, there are hundreds of iguanas out there getting the wrong care, being mistreated, or even abandoned by their owners. I see so many people that impulse buy herps and give them care that I think is animal abuse (no lighting, tiny housing, etc). I agree that he probably phrased it wrong but what he's trying to convey is not a dig at herp keepers but to educate the general public.

  • @Reaver2K7 The entire time this clip is being played he stats multiple times these animals do not make good pets for BEGINNER herp owners. This is true. A person that has never owned a reptile should not rush out an buy an iguana, python, crocodile, or some other crazy animal that will grow to a large size. Bearded Dragons, leopard geckos, anoles, etc are better choices. I own an iguana and while I love him to death, I agree with his comments because they are truthful.

  • @BondageGirlJ exactly!

  • @BondageGirlJ 2:25 - i believe that i specifically heard him say and i quote "All the animals that you're gonna see today that we brought on this show, they do not make good pets".

  • "You wanna touch Scooter for me? He winked at you" ;)

  • thanks for the help...asshole

  • I knew as soon as I saw that guy walk out that this was gonna be a pile of shit and i was right

  • Iguanas? not good pets? ...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Wait? Rose haired tarantulas to? ...that's not even funny anymore.

  • what a fuckin idiot

  • WE NEED BRIAN (SnakeBytesTV) to GIVE A BETTER INTERVIEW and answers good questions~

  • this guy is a fucking retard lol

  • Rosehair Tarantulas are the best pets ever and are so easy to take care of I still have mine I've had forever now shes the best!

  • As usual not so much a case of bad pets as bad owners. I'm not really sure who needs this man to explain to them why gators are not sensible domestic pets but all the others are wonderfully rewarding pets provided you're willing to put in the time and effort involved. The most difficult in terms of housing and upkeep would actually be the larger turtle species.

  • @Reaver2K7 turtles are hard even the 7" inch Red Ear Slider

  • that dude is such a fag.

    someone had to say it.

  • Rose hair tarantula make great pets! I had one when I was 10 and I loved that thing. It was really easy to care for too and it never bit or anything.

Also, since when where spiders reptiles? This guy is stupid.

  • and Rosehairs make GREAT pets. What a douchebag.

  • God, this guy is fucking annoying!! Most fags are.

  • where is this fool from hes a joke and a kid that knows nothing

  • My friend and i found this snapping turtle outside of town a ways at this one pond we always go to, and i COULDNT FUCKING BELIEVE IT! This thing was so dam massive! i think it was almost 6 1/2 feet and the size of its head dwarfed a football! I wish we would have had our cameras on us

  • thats why i stick with corns and ball pythons

  • @Sk8terGirlAlaina Kings > Corns

  • that iguana has a happy smile on his face lol I have seen many iguanas near my home but I never seen a happy one before lol

  • Also Jews are very high maintenance, and thus, don't make good pets.

  • @LyleVertigo LOL!

  • Not illigal from what i have learned they would be protected by the DWA (dangerous wild animals act) and a local vet would have to authorizes a licence. But im from the UK so im not sure if we're only learning UK lores

  • DOGS HAS DONE A LOT OF DAMAGED (5 million dog bites per year, some dog has rabies etc.) only 2 burmese python death, 10,000 snake bite per year(well innacurate) mostly for snake venomous snake bites but more in Asia because of human settlements.

  • One thing I dont like about this is,he gets to keep all the reptiles and no one else gets to keep themLOL I have had iguanas and reptiles since i was a kid,I would never learned that you can teach them things like their name and have them come to you when you call them.Everybody has the right to decide what animal they want as a pet.I never heard him say anything about dogs, which taken care of right ,takes more time then most animals. There are more dogs and cats destroyed then Reptiles each year

  • Its people like this knob that try to get that little bit of fame by giving reptiles a bad name.

  • @ASpiderGuy1995 No he doesn't? I love reptiles (and I own a BP) but this guys is just informing facts. They do not make great pets, maybe just for an advanced keeper. And can't you see how fascinated he is by them? he loves reptiles too.

  • @ASpiderGuy1995 He's not giving them a bad name, he's just saying snakes like a burms and lizards like an iguana don't make good beginner pets but others like bearded dragons and ball pythons would be more suitible for a beginner reptile owner.

  • @ASpiderGuy1995 hes not giving them a bad rep hes just saying dont buy some of the biggest reptiles in the world and dont know what the fuck your doing thats why we have the problems down in the southern states because people buy them and go aw they are so cute then one year later ohh shity balls this thing is bigger then me hum lets see give it to people like this awsome guy or let it go...hum let it go:D....people like you give them bad reps spider fuck. just saying:/

  • @XxTimmyj45xX Yeah sorry, its just that at the time before i commented on this video, i'd watched the really biased news report about snakes, (viperkeeper mentions it in one of his vids) and was in a proper bad mood. I know that really hes saying that these are good animals for the experienced and not to be bought by the first time owner. However, spiders such as that Chillie Rose are good beginners pets!

  • @ASpiderGuy1995 I know someone that had a python and the sanke starved his self and streched his body out so he could try to eat his owner. So in my opinion you really should becareful.

  • @JennaiM *snake

  • @JennaiM You have no idea what you are talking about

  • These people are the kind of assholes that make it hard for kids to prove to their parents they can take care of a reptile. I remember spending hours researching ball pythons when I was in middle school/high school, but because my parents had heard of people talking bad about one type of python/lizard/ect. I was never able to get one. Thankfully I'm in college now and can make my own rules. ;D

  • my mom found a baby snapping turtle in the middle of the road,so she took it home and we kept it for a few days.snappers(his name)wasn't eating so i had to hand feed it.good thing we only kept it for a few days.it actually did succeed in biting me.so we took it to a river that was close by(and where there aren't very many fisherman)and let him lose.

  • The guy sais " this is a burmese pyhton, and i am gay thats why i am talking like this

  • some green iguanas can make very good pets .you can walk them on a leash .

  • Comment removed

  • Tarantula's are actually really easy to keep. They don't need to eat often, they can live just fine in several gallon environments, and if you really want to hold it, a lot of new world species are very docile.

  • IGUANAS ARE SMART REPTILE, BUT IF YOU'RE A STUPID IRRESPONSIBLE OWNER THAT POOR THING WILL DIE.

  • THIS GUY IS A HATER OF THE REPTILE COMUNITY THESE ARE GRATE PETS YEH MAYBE BURMS ARENT FOR BEGINERS BUT AWSOME PETS IGUANAS ARE ALSO REALEY GREAT JUST BECOUSE THERE BIG DOSENT MEAN THERE BAD PETS

  • @MrREPTILETV Burmese, Retics, Rocks are good for the responsible keepers. cause some people BUY those REPTILE and look COOL.

  • all of these are great pets. ignorant people just see their size, and assume they are dangerous. a dog could do more damage than even the largest rock python. i keep 7 smaller (5 feet long) species of snakes, and i'm only 15. they require less care than dogs, and have great character. why you would want to deter people from keeping reptiles bemuses me

  • @SpinninTom Dog bite me twice. i almost die cause of rabies scare. Dogs and Cats and little mammals could do more damage if you live in apartment.

  • i think no offense to any one reptiles are a harder animal to take care of in general

  • @Terminator0024 Snakes (corn snakes, ball pythons, rainbow boas and other 5-7 footers) are easy to take care + your own research. Lizards like bearded dragon is cool pet but if you're a busy man, get a snake, they are less maintenance and only fed once a week than turtles and other big reptiles.

  • @chesleycareystar yes but in general i think cleaning a cage is more work than taking care of a dog ive have spiders, lizards, birds, dogs cats XD i just dont know how good a reptile would be as a first pet not arguing i just dont know but thanks for the opinion (not being sarcastic)

  • @Terminator0024 CORN SNAKES are good reptile. you only clean, feed, them once a week and change the water daily. :)

  • @Terminator0024 get a leopard gecko or whatever you like, do your research.

  • they do make great pets, just not as a first reptile, go to a reptile forums you see loads and laods of ppl with them.

  • robertparsons you ARE fucking retarded. an iguana is easier to take care of than almost any reptile, aside from maybe a beardie. I've owned many and you need a tank no larger than a regular to large sized aquarium. it does not take a whole room at all. research a little before you make yourself look like an idiot.

  • @MauiWowieOwie thats not true they do require a lot of space and substantial lighting not just for heat but spectrum requirements. On top of that higher levels of humidity which can be tricky. Read the annual issue of reptiles magazine out this month. That is a magazine that is for reptile enthusiasts and they deter ownership of iguanas. Your animals have never been provided with proper husbandry in the tiny jails you kept them in. and remember he didn't say bad pet, bad for beginners...

  • @MauiWowieOwie

You're an idiot, and a terrible pet owner. Go fuck yourself.

  • how is a taruntula a reptile? lol

  • @trickster6345 he is DUMB

  • the alligator and snapping turtle is probably not a good pet but all the other reptiles are great pets so fuck you

  • @shinyeggproductions they are GOOD ZOO animals.

  • rose hairs are great beginer pets

  • Bullshit video. Green iguanas are awesome pets. But yeah, don't buy the crocs

  • this is really only a video for little kids and un-experienced owners. These are all great pets (except the croc) as long as you know what you're doing and are responsible.

  • iguanas are simple i had one at ten she lived forever and now i have a whole huge shed full of reptiles lol and hope to start a reptile zoo soon

  • holding a snapping turtle that close to your face is the dumbest....

  • rose hairs make great pets!

  • screw you CBS and Corbin Maxey.

  • i just hate you

  • if u have the enclosure

  • ur so wong greens can be good beginner pets

  • Buddy is one scary fucking pet.
