Does anybody know how to reset the library on this? For some reason my songs are all over the place. The songs on the ipod are in it's correct playlists, but for some reason the idj has it in different playlists. It makes it a little difficult when trying to mix. I tried to connect my Ipod touch to the Idj2 and becuse the Itouch does not show up as an external disk on my laptop I could not format my songs thru the librarian feature. Please advice how I can format and use my Itouch 3 gen .Thanks

I think this is more useful as a 2nd CDJ unit if you already have a proper set of Numark CDJs.. good for partying at home, but i wouldn't use this in clubs. But still cool to have, nonetheless.

Not with iPOD touch that will only work in driect mode so you won't be able to mix songs just use the IDJ2 as a platform to play your tracks on you i pod

I've just bought an IDJ2 and I loaded the new firmware onto it, now if i dont touch it for about a minute it goes into demo mode, stopping the track thats playing.

This is very annoying, does anyone know how to turn the demo mode off?

You have to go to Utility, Demo, then it gives you an option to turn it off.

Demo mode runs automatically after about two minutes. Go to "utilities", and shut demo mode off from there.

You can plug a laptop into it but you won't have any type of control over the laptop with the IDJ2. All you will be able to do is play music. No Scratching or Cueing is possible using this unit with a laptop.

I do not know of any future updates. In my honest opinion though, the iPhone and Ipod Touch do not offer enough storage space to be viable as dj pieces. the max you can get is 32 GB. An iPod classic offers 4 times the storage for less.

The iPod Touch and iPhone will function in Direct Mode Only. In this mode, Deck A will simply function as an iPod player and not allow you to manipulate the music from your iPod. In this mode you can, however, display video content.

It depends on how much music you have on your iPod that determines how long it takes to load. It could be fast or slow but from my experience, it is fairly quick. And once you load up the ipod that database is on there for the life of the product.
