i use TuneUp Utilities 2010 for better performance. My computer used to take at least 6 minutes to fully start up. After i got rid of all of the startup programs defraged my hard drives, ran its disk clean up, etc. it now starts in less than 30 seconds. i would HIGHLY recommend it. It also has a very easy to use theme manager, icon manager, background manager, custom boot screens, a windows logon screen changer, and much more. PM me if u want more detailed answers. ill put a video of it up too

It takes 50 seconds to start my PC with XP including the ESET NOD 32 virus scan. How much faster does one need. I'm not an expert. but surely the start up speed of a PC is down to how fast the computer is. Playing about with the system I don't think is a good idea. I was taught is int aint broke don't fix it.

try typing in RUN- MSCONFIG and uncheck the things that doesnt need to load when window start, like a bunch of emails messengers, addons and tabs...maybe if u use internet ex and u have firefox and dotnt use tit, uncheck thats this APPROXIMATE reudece ur mem maybe 10%

i got my McAfee scurity for vista free =) i mean full versino, pretty cool, anti spam, anti virus, scan and detection on anything, lLOLOLOLO woot i got cool anti virus, but its a little bit anoying, keep poping up with stupid stuff
