  • Obviously it was discovered

  • @cole15miller,, no,, it's protocol if you don't want to get seriously sick. And that is violation of health

  • @sodeserving skin he says

  • Arent razorknifes unsafe? What if you cut yourself?

  • Damn I wonder how the body looked like?

  • To the people who are asking how long it takes to explode it depends. Like if if it was hot and humid in the house(in other words making the actual decomposition quicker) the explosion process might have taken about from 4 to 2 weeks ( depending on the climate and other factors) . This happens because all the gasses in your stomach build up and start making you bloat up till the point the skin tears and then finally you explode.

  • Are people required to say if someone died in a house? Like if you are an interested buyer, is it their choice to tell you or what ?

  • @98MAzdaMilleniaS It is optional.

  • why waste a perfictly good mattres just sleep on it and wake up and go on with your day =)

  • Sony Ericcson K850i INSIDE

  • did the plug in air fresher at 0:39 help at all:D

  • bet that Glade Plug-in didn't help with that one!

  • If these were REALLY professionals, they would all have been wearing respirators!!!

There are some states which will allow you to take the entire mattress biohazard bagged and dropped off for safe disposal.

  • No dump anywhere would ever let them just wrap the mattress & box springs up, as it's considered Bio Hazard. The pieces cut out will be later burned.

  • What the hell was he holding at the beginning of the vid?!

  • it was skin from the victim

  • lol it's a natural death... not a victim aha...

  • Gee that looked like a good mattress, I would have paid ya 25 bucks and then just steam cleaned it, LOL

  • I have the utmost respect for what these guys (and girls!) do; not necessarily with the morbidity of the situation, but also the delicacy of handling the evidence, whatever the circumstances surrounding the death may be.

But I couldn't help but smirk when you hear them talking about the smell, the camera pans to guy cutting up the carpet, and you see the plug-in air freshener! Not really sure the marketing experts at 'Glade' would know what to do in this situation!

  • Does this pay well?

  • Wouldn't do it for a mil $!!!

  • How long does a corpse take to get to the point of when it explodes? I ask this because my uncle died but was not discovered for about two months( the coroner's estimation ).when my mum went to sort his belongings out she said she could see where he had died ie: dark stains and some loose hair...we was'nt allowed to she his body because of the extent of the decomposition.

  • It depends on a few factors such as was the person healthy & age would also play a factor but the biggest would be the room environment where they died, If it's in the winter then it would take a lot longer for a body to decompose but in summer it's a totally different story because of the hot weather & insects.

  • ok,thankyou for the reply.

  • Wouldn't it be easier for you to just bag up the whole mattress, haul it out and incinerate it?

  • I asked the same thing. The answer is about 4 replies up. Makes sense to if you think about it.

    =)

  • How long was the body in there before discovery?

  • Why do they bother to cut the mattress up, I mean wouldn't it be easier to just take the whole mattress and dispose of it?

  • We cut the mattress (Effected Materials) up to be placed into the BioHazardous Medical Waste Containers for Lawful disposal. If we simply carried the mattress out to a pickup truck or trailer or dumpster, the remnants of the bodily fluids would spill onto the floor/ground and then that would be cross contaminated, which means that we would have to decon, clean and dispose those areas as well.

  • Got ya....thanks for the answer, makes a lot of sense.

    =)

  • How did this guy die? How long did it take for the body to "explode?"

  • I don't know. They never did say, or i missed it. Sorry. Probably natural causes if I was guessing.

  • not even a week

  • @Crowrocker71 let me explan you that because it has a blood and the blood and morten liquits has to recover they took just the blood part and the mattress can have contact whit peaple in the trash thats why but is good to ask

  • how does the body explode?

  • decomposition produces some gas.

  • I wouldn't mind doing that job, but getting the "juicy" bits on me I just couldn't take. Arrgh! Thanks for posting this, it's interesting! :-) RIP Whoever those remains belonged to!

  • i saw this on NAT GEOGRPHIC..VERY INTERSTING

A NASTY AND DANGEROUS JOB,SOMEBODY GOT TO DO IT1

  • I take it, the body exploded due to the fact that, it was bloating beyond it's capacity.... IF it were off the bed, to the side of the room, it must have actually, burst... not just split and expanded, Right? LOL. Oh man... I hope I'm found before I explode and seep, that sucks. :-(
