Some religions are as you describe, Robot, but not all. Atheism is responsible for more murders however, at least about 100 million in the last century. So, though religions can be dangerous, far fewer were killed by the Inquisitions than were killed by Atheist governments like Communism and Socialism. If you accept that God knows the future, and we have freewill both, then the question remains "Why didn't God make a world where he knew we would use our freewill for good only", instead of one where he knew we would all sin, and end up in hell? In both universes we would have freewill (since "god's forknowledge doesn't take away freewill"), and there has to be a world where we never sin, because if we had to sin we'd lack freewill, so why didn't God create that world?

Now you venturing into duality. Hell can see heaven from hell. The existence of hell is your duality there. All sin against an Infinite Being requires an infinite punishment to warrant the justice of the Infinite Being. Therefore, hell exists. But, Heaven is a temporary thing in one regard. We will not live forever in heaven. God is going to create a new heaven & earth. He will dwell here for 1000 years. We do not teach a simplistic happy place - heaven.
As for forcing, NO. ALL who are in hell chose hell! No one is forced to be with Jesus. He KNOWS evil, sin, death and suffering. He died the moment He created the earth. You're most welcome. As for the choice, it is a little more than that but at the end of your life, it can be boiled down to that. The choice is between freedom & slavery. Being a slave to sin or acknowledging God as the Sovereign and acting accordingly having freedom & fellowship with Him (a wonderful thing to be loved & freed by an Almighty God). You can try to be your own sovereign. The problem is that we aren't Sovereign or free without God though we can make some decisions.

False. A parent often knows when their child will behave a certain way through their knowledge of the child. Does that mean the parent forced the behavior? NO. Foreknowledge is not predestination. God knows everything. But, He allows us to operate on our own volition. He does direct certain things in our lives to guide our actions based on His foreknowledge. Yes, it is religious studies that you don't get taught in school. You have to research it out. Also, the Encyclopedia of Demonology in most campus libraries can be quite revealing. Look up swastika or suistikka. There is a Hindi spelling and you find the open acknowledgment of the origin of the symbol being Hinduism not the NAZI party.

@slicingwater there's some interesting videos about mirror neurons in the brain that may be the source of empathy that make possible for us to live socially.
The problem with that is there have been many notable "models" of the brain accounting for emotion such as the '90's claims of the limbic system. They ALL get refuted or dumped later. We have not solid bio-chemical explanation for emotion. To refer to thinking as mere neurotransmission or brain chemistry is to ignore the self-refuting nature of damning thought to solely a biochemical reaction. It destroys the claim if it is true. You can know nothing in that type model of thought!

However, Atheists make up about 8% of the American population but only 0.2% of the prison population.
On the flip side, only about 1-3% of Americans are Muslim, but 7.2% of inmates are Muslim.

Some religions are as you describe, Robot, but not all. Atheism is responsible for more murders however, at least about 100 million in the last century. 1 more thing too. If you accept that God knows the future, and we have freewill both, then the question remains "Why didn't God make a world where he knew we would use our freewill for good only", instead of one where he knew we would all sin, and end up in hell? In both universes we would have freewill (since "god's forknowledge doesn't take away freewill"), and there has to be a world where we never sin, because if we had to sin we'd lack freewill, so why didn't God create that world?

You're most welcome. As for the choice, it is a little more than that but at the end of your life, it can be boiled down to that. The choice is between freedom & slavery. Being a slave to sin or acknowledging God as the Sovereign and acting accordingly having freedom & fellowship with Him (a wonderful thing to be loved & freed by an Almighty God). You can try to be your own sovereign. The problem is that we aren't Sovereign or free without God though we can make some decisions.

False. A parent often knows when their child will behave a certain way through their knowledge of the child. Does that mean the parent forced the behavior? NO. Foreknowledge is not predestination. It is an ancient occultic symbol. Look it up in the occultic encyclopedias and see what they used it for. I do not know of any good luck usage though many occultic symbols are later billed as good luck ones to cover their secret meanings. I welcome a citation or source on that.

Sagan was appealing to Hinduism and Panentheism when he referred to the cosmos as the Cosmos. His teachings were inherently NEW AGE and not atheist. He like most atheist professors was more than likely a luciferian or some form of New Ager. He masked his involvement in the death cults with proud boastings of atheism. But, like the others, his words and dogmas demonstrated his real inklings. You should study more before engaging the educated. Learn religion before arguing it.

I didn't miss anything. They can't see the contradiction in their world view. I began college as a Marine Biology major. I always have enjoyed science and practice it to this day. It DOES NOT CONTRADICT MY WORLD VIEW in any way! Theories try to contradict my world view, but, they fail. No law of science contradicts the Bible. Read Dr. Walter Martin's short book, The New Age Cult. Then, you will see the references for yourself. It is a quick read. You can get through it in a single day.

No one is exempt from charges for killing someone. Least of all God. Why? because according to the Bible God himself said it was wrong to kill. If God kills then he breaks a law he created. If someone creates a law then the lawmaker has the greatest responsibility to obey that law. If the lawmaker does not obey his law then what does his law mean to him? Nothing. And if the law means nothing to the lawmaker why should it mean anything to anyone else?

@ChristianVoice08 Well I'm sorry but in my experience the commandment has always read "thou shalt not kill" and is not as specific as murder and, for that matter I never said "murder" either I simply said "kill". As for whether or not it IS murder I have a question for you: if someone kills someone on certain grounds but does not tell us what those grounds are how can we tell if it is murder or not.

I haevn't been able to find the actual verse yet but in one verse God gives a man's infant son a terminal disease because his Father killed a man in God's name. That's right; God killed an innocent baby for something his father did. I don't care what God was trying to prove by this This. Is. Wrong. @swordhunter12 Yes we can throw away stuff we don't want anymore (like old toys or movies) without a thought but inanimate objects (with the exception of plants) do not think, they do not love, they do not feel fear, they do not feel pain, they do not live. Killing a person and discarding an old magazine is not (to quote Pulp Fiction) in the same ballpark, the same league or even the same sport. If God kills someone you love and you cannot see any reason for this then He owes you an explanation

The Creator has right over the creation as the Owner of all. That is the problem you seem to have. You don't want to have to bow to God and acknowledge His right to you and all you have. Good is love itself.............at the same time instructed the annihilation of a few communities including children. This IS contrudictive surely? If any parent... me for example killed one of his children for a reason or abandonned one i would be considered a terrible dad but when god does it its not?

The problem with that is there have been many notable "models" of the brain accounting for emotion such as the '90's claims of the limbic system. They ALL get refuted or dumped later. We have not solid bio-chemical explanation for emotion. To refer to thinking as mere neurotransmission or brain chemistry is to ignore the self-refuting nature of damning thought to solely a biochemical reaction. It destroys the claim if it is true. You can know nothing in that type model of thought!

I'm not disputing that philosophy enables us to think inductively and deductively in a logical context. But you cite philosophy as if it is a hard science, and its not...thats a fact. Quantum mechanics...science, Biology...science, Philosophy is an arts degree bud.
