I dont like to torture things, i would've only used one shot. I like to kill the strays to make a safer environment for pets. I have a pet cat, but i shoot the strays, raccoons, foxes, skunks and others pests so that it is safe for her to play outside and i dont have to worry about her bringing rabies or other diseases ( yes she is vaccinated, but she can carry it on her) back in the house for my baby to come in contact with.

I have dealt with vicious dogs and this dog did not seem vicious. When the snare pole was put on it youcould tell it was scared. We had a dog we put on a snare pole back in 2003 and that thing was vicious. It was biting the pole so hard teethe were braking off and we still managed to get it into the AC truck without killing it. Now thing dog was mean so Im sure the pound put it down. These two ass hats could have handled it better.
The dog was chained to the pickup truck from the beginning of this incident. So where was the problem in the first place? And the dog showed no agression whatever until it had been snared and the cop was trying to muscle it around for some reason. From a pure safety point of view, that cop made a grave error unholstering and cocking a firearm while attempting to restrain the dog with the other hand. Everything is wrong here. Nothing is right. Absolutely nothing.
What was this guys end game? I mean the dog laid in the street for 3 minutes until he got the catch pole out. Get's the dog in the catch pole. That's it, you won, game over. As a police officer I can say I've done this at least 20 times in my 12 year career and with dogs that were a hell of a lot more aggressive than that poor girl. I have seen officer's get bit and still manage to restrain the dog, without so much as pulling pepper spray. That's a lack of training and balls.

Where I'm from, the dog is taken to the shelter and held for evaluation, even if it BITES. Not instant death.

This Police officer positions the camera so that his actions are in full view the entire time. This dog was acting threateningly toward a six year old child and that is why the police are there in the first place. The officer calls his immediate supervisor who gave the order. The owner of this dog owns FOUR other dogs and was ordered in 2007 to refrain from owning animals after being charged with Animal Abuse. The owner was pissed that he got a ticket so he posted this video.

I have a pet cat, but i shoot the strays, raccoons, foxes, skunks and others pests so that it is safe for her to play outside and i dont have to worry about her bringing rabies or other diseases ( yes she is vaccinated, but she can carry it on her) back in the house for my baby to come in contact with.

I have dealt with vicious dogs and this dog did not seem vicious. When the snare pole was put on it youcould tell it was scared. We had a dog we put on a snare pole back in 2003 and that thing was vicious. It was biting the pole so hard teethe were braking off and we still managed to get it into the AC truck without killing it. Now thing dog was mean so Im sure the pound put it down. These two ass hats could have handled it better.

All we can do is comment on what we see but the reality is animal control would deal with an animal humanely. You cannot confirm from this video that this dog was aggressive and we don't know the whole story but there are plenty of people out there that have no problem killing a non-aggressive dog.

To make it even worse, if possible, I just saw the first part of this video where the cops walk up to a trailer and the dog is tied in the yard. One of the cops walks up to the dog and pets it. Apparently, a the dog charged a woman with her six year old daughter. She escaped to the trailer and calls the police. Then goes out and chains the dog and feeds it. I don't get this at all. Where I'm from, the dog is taken to the shelter and held for evaluation, even if it BITES. Not instant death.

This Police officer positions the camera so that his actions are in full view the entire time. This dog was acting threateningly toward a six year old child and that is why the police are there in the first place. The officer calls his immediate supervisor who gave the order. The owner of this dog owns FOUR other dogs and was ordered in 2007 to refrain from owning animals after being charged with Animal Abuse. The owner was pissed that he got a ticket so he posted this video.
