Good job, then :). I'm also using infantry only now and then - tanks mean really in this game. But in multiplayer - infantry is one of the quickest ways of capturing control points. D u use it when playing online? I don't mean para drops of course :)

Infantry is very helpful to destroy enemy guns and slow enemy tanks. So, if you ignore the enemy infasntry your game will be lost for sure.

I just think this is a fun game. I played the free demo. Its fine for me. I love wargames and I would say this is another GOOD wargame with nice graphics and video and sound. Most of you say don;t like but don't say why. So this is not a point for me.

I tried the demo and then played the game itself. My impressions: yes, this is the game of hackneyed WWII, still it's not a waste of time. Battles look real, the atmosphere is really warlike. Its nice to forget about management and concentrate completely on tactics. All units including infantry look true, not like toy models. Comparing to many other WWII RTSs OOW is not boring, especially the German campaign.

Of course I have tried. But still, for me it`s even less tactical than "Officers". Units just facing each other and shooting down their energy bars... isn`t there a little more in it in 2009? All that reminds me of "Dune" or "Command and Conquer Part 1". A Sherman lasts 10 seconds and a King Tiger 20. Wow, nice gameplay. I just want to say, it`s a pity that developer`s still follow the arcade action way of making WW2 games, probably to sell more of them. But the market wants something fresh...

I don't know what Square is thinking by making another Medal of Honor clone. They are excellent at making RPGs, while EA makes pretty good FPSs. I guess they got bored making Final Fantasies, but this could be a blunder on their part.

Seriously though, there is the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty series, at least 10 more other FPS titles and a bunch more strategy games in that topic. I mean, this WW2 franchise is really getting old, don't you think?

I myself am a history buff, so I go beyond the average knowledge about American history, especially in WWII. In public school we're taught American history mainly when it comes to WWII. There are mandatory world history classes that do well to teach us about world history from Greece to nowadays, but nothing ever focuses on the efforts of America's allies in the war.

I completely understand. I would love to see some war games that involve battles that Romanian soldiers participated in. But, as I said in my previous comment; the size of America's video game market is one of the largest. Therefore, gaming studios; whether they be from foreign countries or not, will make games that appeal to the American market. So, when it comes to war games; Americans want to play as American soldiers and not as much as other nationalities.

I don't know if we receive too much attention, but I can understand how "small" wars like the Finn-Russo war were important but have been forgotten regardless. I honestly think that war could be put in a game as well as any other. As for Polish insurgents, some games coming out are focusing on resistance forces and there were Polish tanker missions in CoD3, but I understand little focus is put on resistance forces in total. Perhaps in the future...?
