The short stroke gas system on the Bushmaster ACR gives it lower recoil, but at the cost of instability. The rifle can kick from left to right as the cartriges are ejected. Before you say anymore I have a Firearm's Certificate and regularly shoot the 7.62 conversion of the Bushmaster ACR.
