  • When my hedgehog first did that to me I literally freaked out. Poor girl :(

  • Lol. You hate me because I made a video of an annoyed hedgehog, but running me over with a truck is okay?

  • It's your pet but you're messing with it over and over again? Yeah. Great pet, or rather, great owner.

Go get run over by a truck will you?

  • @JohanKH

Do you have any siblings? Have any friends that you ever played a "game" of touching them with your finger until they got mad? Seriously dude, He is touching an animal, Hedgehogs are known to be cranky, It isn't something that has ever been bred out of them. But in your commenting about how "mean" he is. Your best response is "go get run over by a truck will you?" who the **** do you think you are? God? I mean really, I'm sure you have done MUCH MUCH worse things to animals.

  • @mistydove tl;dr.

But no, I don't think I'm god. I exist. Therefor I'm way ahread of god.

  • @JohanKH Hedgehogs are naturally very nervous/jumpy animals. You have to expose them to things for them to get used to it. This includes touching them. Hedgehogs that haven't yet been well socialized will react this way just when somebody comes near.

  • Hey retard. Can't someone smack you in the head?

  • Just like mine. Cranky!

  • ahahaa soo cute(=

  • im selling my hedgehog, ive had it for 7 months and tis is the only thing the fucker does.

  • @MuslimMODZ Maybe it shouldn't be a pet?

  • don't touch mah chili dog!! XD

  • you're teaching your hedgie to act that way by touching it like that

  • @QualityQuills Not really. It's a natural defense. I've had my hedgehog for a year and given her time to adjust to her surroundings and my scent and she does the exact same thing even if I do everything right. Not all hedgehogs are the same in how they react and not all are fond to petting of any kind. They are just very defensive creatures and easily spooked.

  • @CrimsonKumiho You should never pet a hedgehog who is not being held in your hands. From a breeder I know, Gail, who has been breeding hedgehogs for 12 years, this is what she says: "Many grouchy hedgehog behaviors such as clicking, popping, and huffling are learned responses to how they are handled...never allow people to touch a hedgehog without picking it up....(continued)

  • @CrimsonKumiho "...When a hedgehog senses something coming down upon it they naturally huff and puff to protect their self. The hedgehog quickly learns that it should huff and puff when a hand approaches." (Gail from Millermeade Farms)

  • @QualityQuills True, but it's the reaction you give after touching the hedgehog that causes it to continue i.e. flinching. My hedgehog stops huffing after a few seconds or so if I show that it doesn't bother me.

  • It kinda looks like Amy the hedgehog when sonic didn't go ona date with her :3

  • she like what the hell keeps poking me

  • he's a cutie!

  • oh i absolutely love how hedgehogs get so cranky. Mine gets grumpy whenever I wake him up

  • NINJA MODE! XD

  • my hedgehog every so often rolls into a complete ball its one of the most painful things to pick up ever lol

  • szegény....

  • my hedgehog does that

  • Sonic is pisssssed

  • What a cutie!^^

  • Lol I take care of the hedgehogs at my zoo and all 4 of them are grumpy-pusses. haha Especially the big male. It's so funny how upset he is until I pull out the meal worms. Then he's all cuddles.

  • that hedgehog is pissed

  • do they bite? or just roll up in a ball and try to poke you lol

  • @lucci97 they do both!!!

  • he is angry :( i have one and do the same sound when is angry xd i think is adorable :D

  • i think he is sneezing or something

  • I like her name. Did you come across that in 'Watership Down' by any chance? That's the only place I've heard it before, and I even considered it for my hedgie.

  • Yep! Great book. I thought it was a great name for her.

  • its a ninja hedgehog.

  • LoL - Poor Silly Hedgehog!!

  • I just got a hedgehog lately. Funny how he has good days and grumpy days too.

  • hedgehogs rule!

  • Thats what mine does after one of his long, undeserved naps xD

  • XD i cant keep myself from laughing. "huff!" *bounce* "huff!" *bounce*

    XD

  • dude, ur hedgehog is a hot head, but oh so cute! :3

  • why didnt it turn into a ball and make a hissing noise?

  • omg lol!

  • does it hurt if you tech em? i really want one of these

  • I would suggest a LOT of research before you even think about actually getting one. They aren't too hard to care for, but they do have specific needs.

  • aw, poor thing..she doesn't look happy at all, and she's shaking at the end..

  • lol she's not shaking, she's sniffing. They all do that.

  • well my bad, you didn't have to give me a thumbs down, or whoever did..but you can agree that she wasn't happy at that time.

  • I didn't give you a thumbs down. Hedgehogs always huff and have a grumpy demeanor. You can give her food and she could huff at you! You don't take this as behaviour as upset. If they're truly upset, quills go up. She's just a little annoyed....it's nothing more than a playful tease. Nothing I would worry about. : )

  • *gets the Articulate boardgame out*

Okay lets get this shit on the road.

  • Gua ja ja ja que ahueonao tu erizo

  • yeah my hedgehog is like that too, except he doesnt jump

  • 'i cut you, i cut you real bad when i can see you' lol

  • Whoah...maybe hedgies PMS too??

  • nah i always do that to mine. i think they just dont want to be touched at the back. my hogs are cranky unless held by hand

  • wow my hedgeohg doesnt jump like that when he huffs. he just jumps upward.

  • She was making the cutest sound!

  • That was adorable. =]

  • You know what I love? I love how people get all defensive about how "cruel" you are to your hedgehog. Let's be realistic here. He is reacting the same way a cat reacts to being startled, and no one gets upset about that. This video is funny as shit. Everyone needs to get the hell over it. Anyone with a hedgehog, such as myself, knows that they act like that often, and it's even funnier in real life.

  • Haha. Nice to see someone knows better. I'm not scaring her or anything like that. That's just how hedgies act when ornery. (Heck, even when they're not ornery.) Half of those "pokes" of mine, I'm not even touching her.

  • Totally, I pee my pants laughing when I do that to my Penelope.

  • Tell me about it!!! lol why'd I get 3 thumbs down? Hedgies just like to act tough sometimes. This isn't "cruel" at ALL. All of em are grumps and huff all the time. It's frackin cute!!!

I'm guessing whoever thumbs downed my comment knows very little about 'em.

  • it looks like he's had his morning coffee and I know they can't drink coffee

  • This vid still makes me smile. Yona could take on 300 ninjas I'll bet. They should make a movie starring her: "Quill Bill".

  • Huff huff huff huff!

  • do the quils???

  • do the quils hurt?

  • yea when they are just born and they start to get their first quils they are pretty sharp but as they get older they start to dull out :)
