I love my Saturn but the 32X version of this game is FAR better than the later Saturn's version. Time Warner really botched up SEGA's license potential in Virtua Racing.

The 32X had the same main chips as the Saturn- I regard this one as closer to the arcasde version compared to the Time Warner-released V.R. Virtua Racing on the Saturn, although that one was fun too

The 32X version was ace. The Mega Drive and Saturn versions are totally cack. The one from the SEGA AGES Collection is also cack. The arcade version was ace, but I didn't get to play it much. After Shenmue 2 and a console version of Daytona USA 2, I'd say this was third on my SEGA wish list.

2- It may be a matter of tastes whether the Genesis version was good or not, but we got to admit this: it was the first console port of V.R., so let's not be rough with it.

This goes for the Nintendo fanboys, the SVP chip was superior than SuperFX, yet SEGA understood and thought that high pricing over cartridges was pointless, they also criticised Nintendo for that. And that also explains why Sonic 3C turned into two cartridges with Lock-On technology.

1- The Saturn port was made by Time Warner I think, and it was the WORSE version. Besides, it was already old and obsolete by that time, even Daytona USA was obsolete, compared to PSs then-exclusive arcade racing saga created by NAMCO: Ridge Racer
