I love this album! "Progessively more mainstream"?!?! You kidding? Some songs from Crimson - A&I may have been on MTV but thats all. Whether its cus I'm in England I dunno but I RARELY ever see them on tv/magazines, I'm lucky if I do. Oh, and ALK3 FUCKING ROCK!!!!

@HurfDurfAlive In my opinion the album is not their best but still has some good tracks, like Crimson did. To simply say it is a "shitstorm" is over generalizing and unfair. I do respect your opinion though and somewhat agree...maybe not verbatim however :)

@DemonDrummer1018 Well in opinion it was easily their weakest and if an album has two songs I find to be listenable to then I'd qualify it as a shitstorm in my personal perspective. That's just my view on it, but I'm glad that some people enjoyed it.

@SBub1337 I don't know what you are talking about agony and irony had so many amazing songs in it . I have yet to really see or feel them hitting mainstream i live in los angeles and i rarely see AK3 fans. This addiction was an amazing cd as well

when i got the cd i didn't know what to think of it at first, it seams like a real different interesting sound then there previous music. some songs sound like they should be from previous albums. after listening to it over and over i love it.

I didn't expect trumpets in an Alkaline Trio song, but hey..

I think the album is ok. Some songs left me thinking that they should've tried harder, but maybe it'll grow on me. Definitely better than "Agony and irony" anyway.
