R-Type is a very good game, i think that the two versions (snes/gba) are equal in quality^^
You need to be a very skilled player to end this game

R-Type III's SNES version was WAY better in my opinion just like the others said. :)
I thought the GBA would be just as good as the SNES version, but then I heard complaints about the music/graphics/sfx and now I actually see it. The ending isn't even as cool .. because you don't do the same things. :(

Yes, on the GBA the music was very shitty, and pathetic.
I got to play it on Gameboy BEFORE the SNES version, so when I finally played it on the SNES, I was taken aback about how much better a game it is.
On the GBA, the force is too slow, and you have to tap the autofire button really fast in order to shoot worth a shit.
