Clearly, democracy and dissent are alive in Iran. If we reach out to them, the moderates will be proven right -- they have nothing to fear from the US and little to gain by attaining nuclear weapons. But by scaring them with our tough talk and arm flexing, we're just bolstering Ahmadinejad's support. The more we posture militarily, the more they'll yearn for the security of nuclear arms.
