I,ve never been a train spotter or ever really had an interest in any trains.... Yet this clip is almost emotional... well done to the men who worked hard to build her...
It is clear that whilst your great grandfather may have been a fantastic train builder you appear to have none of his intellect or maturity. A great shame. The £3 million spent on Tornado will be repaid with interest once the loco enters revenue-earning service. Perhaps you would rather waste £40 million or more on Nightstar locos and rolling stock and leave it to rot in sidings?
Oh - and perhaps you should consult a dictionary next time you try to insult someone?
Veyr nice post, thanks whigwood, you got in a great position for a full length side view. Looks like there was a little more elbow room by the time she went back southbound.
Fan-bloody-tastic. What a sight. I've got to see it steaming one day.

hi peter.
good comment about the haunting whistle in the night.
i think that most steam locos with their shrill whistles and hissing steam sound very eerie at night .
don,t think that diesels have that same kind of feel.
i do like diesels by the way .deltics are my favourite.

With a name like "Crepello" one might rather guess that you were a Class 55 sort of person!!

Your clip, and that of 'Sirius' have got to be the best so far of Tornado stretching her legs. Well done both of you.
