  • It is unnerving that no one considered this suspicious and handled it with at least an element of suspicion. This dead man is aways from home, at least by a state or two. A great deal of time was taken and planned to commit this crime. Please some one. Speak UP!

  • That man did NOT commit suicide. This man was poisoned. This man was murdered&placed there by two men to carry his dead weight. This man was very close to his killers& most likely a woman is involved. A man commits suicide in a "catholic" church? A major disrespect. People do not remove identification from their OWN wallets IF committing suicide. He "types" his suicide note& signs it? The signature was forged w/ a fake name. This man was wealthy&killed for his money. NOT suicide. STINKY case.

  • It's obvious, yet heartbreaking (especially for his family) to know he didn't want to be identified. So many depressed and lonely people out there, we often don't find out how bad things have gotten until it is too late-

  • This story always chokes me up a little for some reason. I was hoping there would've been a resolution by now.

  • @belovedfuckup Because it was a murder. No one ingests that type of poison to committ suicide. Men typically will use a gun. WOMEN use poison. They should have tested his hair. A suicidal person does not stick a wad of cash to bury himself under another person's name. He may have come from New Mexico &was a business man who was wealthy. A woman had access to his money. Someone has got to reopen this case. You are looking at 3 people involved in a murder for money. SOME one knew him. Check again!

  • @belovedfuckup What a name you've selected for yourself. Everything okay?

  • @kittyscratchesboo Indeed...all is going swimmingly. The name is a Chuck Palahniuk reference.

  • @belovedfuckup You are cute. I will look this one up..so much for me not knowing the facts, eh? ;-)

  • @belovedfuckup Me, too! Just sad all the way around.

  • after 21 yrs still unsolved wow......

  • Sad story, 2nd story I've now herd of a suicide person leaving a sum of money in a envelope to pay for his funeral

  • @LighthouseJC Where? This may be a MO or a connection. This is NOT happenstance, this is how to get rid of a body. A perfect crime to use the church as the second crime scene! But that man did not look like some lost, loner man without friends. He was carefully dressed. He was dressed in a manner as if he had some living to do. They should have checked his hands also to see if he were a laborer (which he was not). This was a social man and you can tell by the way he dresses.

  • @LighthouseJC I agree that this was an extremely sad story. In some ways, it reminds me of an article I read in The New Yorker about jumpers on the Golden Gate Bridge. According to the article, one guy who killed himself by jumping into the Bay left a suicide note at his apartment in SF. The note said, "I'm going to walk down to the bridge. If even one person smiles at me on the way, I won't jump."

Human beings should really treat each other with more kindness.

  • It's unnerving to think that there is a freezer somewhere with unclaimed dead people.

  • @Methrt3 Unfortunately there are hundreds of such cases. If you go to the Doe Network you can see profiles of many of them. Like you said, it is disturbing to think that so many people can just die and no one ever looks for them.

  • @Lotmeister I'm telling you guys that this is a MURDER! Please do something if you live close by or even know about this church. This is a MURDER & several people are getting away with it. They can test his hair now & possibly bone marrow if they is any left. Find the origin of his clothing.Cast a wider net. Re-post to the south. Fingerprint this man. He has money, there is something inside of his body to reveal his true identity. Make some noise. The Bolo tie has significance&tells a story.

  • @Lotmeister That Bolo tie with the large aquamarine stone (not cheap)and the belt with the Peso coin was hand made. This is a man with money and taste for art of Mexico or the Southwest. Find where that belt was designed and you will find his killer. Check his shoes. Not cheap. Check the wallet itself, custom made or authentic leather. That BELT will solve the case& now it will take true gumshoe detective work. Relationships change &loyalties have faded. Re-open the case!

  • @Lotmeister This man is a collector and someone KNOWS that belt buckle and he has done some sort of business in the purchasing of rare and unique items. No one did his labs to see what he last ate or drank. No blood tests were taken. Use your wits. Some one is looking for him and some one has a story and this was NO SUICIDE. To poison yourself that way is very painful and he would have done so at home with a gun. He was too well dressed for a suicide. This is awful!
