I already have long hair but sometimes I want to give my hair a rest but if I do the corn row/sew in method I will have a large bump in the back because my hair is so long. Would this work for someone who's hair is already long but want the weave (it's about the length of this weave)?

leave a little hair out around the hairline so it looks natural, abot a half inch . use strands of extension hair and add it in like you're doing an extension cornrow. braid it a little then leave some strands out .
take more extension strands and add it into the cornrow and keep leaving strands out.
