  • I recall meeting with Joseph Hill and the members of Culture in Toronto when they played the El Mocambo. It must have been in the mid to late 90's. Hanging on the parked tour bus and sharing was great. The following morning Joseph invited me to have breakfast with him and some of the crew and friends. His wife was there and I presented him with a gift, Bhagavad-Gita-As It Is.

  • "For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain (BG ch.2 text20). ONE LOVE Joseph Hill.

  • We discussed the ideals and principles of the Gita and he was much appreciating the philosophy, so much so that he wanted us to continue our talk sometime in the near future. We never did meet again but I totally loved the opportunity to meet with him and to share, as he had been an influence in my youth. I would like to leave this Gita quote in his memory.
