spiderman 3 was good because of the story and actors better than hulk but it was good better than ironman more action than ironman as i wanted to see in it
As a comic book fan I love Ang Lee's Hulk. ILM told him he had too much action scenes so he had to cut out a lot and fill it with drama. Hulk's CGI helped with new effects tools that did not exist so every movie after hulk benefited. Edward Norton was doing well in Brazil with out the hulk. How terrible an acting performance as he no humble , meek or weak in anyway. Bring back Ang Lee I know he would do an even better job on Hulk now.

The more I watched the first Hulk movie, the more I liked it. But the more I saw The Incredible Hulk, the less I liked it. I still think the hulk looked better in the first movie. Sure, he was a little "too green" but at least the frame rate of the animation wasn't as choppy as the sequel. Plus the lighting on the hulk in the sequel was too "cartoonish" and blurry. In a lot of the day scenes it looked like the hulk was poorly super-imposed.

@Hanoua2 That cameo appearance with Ironman was what made me really surprised. If anything I think this was the first Marvel movie to introduce a character from another made Marvel movie. Small thing to be surprised about, but you know haha.

Frankly, this Hulk sucked to me, why directors thinks that takin´away powers or size from a Character like Hulk, it´s gonna make him more likable or more appealing to the public or more realistic?.
This Hulk looks like it can´t pick up a tank, the first Hulk, Eric Bana´s, it does what Hulk it´s supposed to do, take gigantics leaps, pick up a tank, and even shoved emotions.

This hulk is barely 10 feet tall and the CGI here looks more grainy and fake then the bana one which was at least consistantly green. Also how does Edward Nortons pants not rip all off. In many ways this verision of the hulk should of been the version that Ang Lee directed in 2003, why cause everyone was so hooked with the first spiderman movie and how close to the comic book was that. When they annonced that a film verison of the hulk would be made in 2002 for a showing in 2003 the fans naturally expect this will be a good as the first spiderman movie! It was an incredible movie and it had a lot of positive reviews from the audience and therw was a kid who thought it was awsome how the Hulk stabbed the abomination and I was blown away by the movie and I'm soooo much happier than with Ang Lee's version. And I remember the tv reviews saying that it was ranked as "#1 movie in the world" I know what I heard!!!

I totally agree with you to the fact that he used to many objects to block or protect himself, but I liked the fact that they gave him enough intelect to use the objects to fight with even though his fists are more effective. And as far as his size I really thought It was more resonable than the first one plus he could still get bigger from getting angreer.
He is indestructible, but that doesn't mean the bullets and grenades don't hurt. Even if you were wearing a bulletproof vest, getting shot still hurts like hell even if it doesn't enter your body.
This Hulk pays alot more homeage to Lou Ferrigno's Hulk, not too big, doesn't get bigger, but still badass.

I had big hopes for this movie. And it is WAY better than the old one. WAY BETTER. And the action scenes were great, but thier wasnt that many of them and the acting and actors wasnt that great. And kinda boring.
But 1.spiderman 3 wasnt that bad. 2.F4 2 wasnt horrible. 3.I really liked ghost rider. That was very good in my opinion.

Ya spiderman 3 had problems with the villians. I loved vemon in all the comics shows but they fucked him up in that. And they had a scrawny guy play him, he is suposed to be a buff jock. Plus u only got to see his face like once the entire movie.

I agree. I found the movie disappointing. Maybe that's because I never saw the "abomination" of the last one, but I sat down expecting an action-packed superhero movie, and I just didn't witness that in this movie. :/
superheroes movies don't have to be action packed. Too much action inevitably makes a movie feel hollow. To be honest I think there was just a little too much action. However I like it just the same. I like the fact it it's part bourne movie, part comic book movie.
The origin story's are great if they are done correctly, like in my opinion Iron Man & Batman Begins. I thought those two comic book movies were done very well. But the 08 HULK is definately my fave movie.

The end of the fight made no sense. The hulk was overpowered in every way but he was able to grab the chain, put it around the other guys' neck and choke him until he passes out. I think they could have been a little more creative.
If you didn't know, hulk's power increases with anger so that was probably how he killed abomination. And I'm not just talking about the ending, I talking about the whole fight from the beginning
I will agree with you this movie was a little better than iron man. But that has to do with the directors and the fact that iron man was an origin story. I hate origin stories in movies. Batman begins went through the same shit. But everything got better when The Dark knight came out. This is the Hulk movie everyone has been waiting for. yes you're right, hulk jumped right into the action, do you agree with me that the incredible hulk had more internal conflict(Bruce wanting to control the hulk)? In Iron man Tony had everything, but they did do a good job with the idea of having what you really want right in front of your face(pepper potts being in love with Tony) that was a cute little moral for them to throw in.
I think this movie was quite bad...i love Hulk as a character, but i was really disappointed by this version...i think the ang lee version was good, this one was really dumb and the special effects weren't that good either, too much (and bad) action and no heart or depth (sorry for my english, i'm italian)

This movie is fantastic and hasn't been given enough credit. I took two unwilling friends who ended up being amazed and are now recruiting others to go see it. The cast was amazing, the story was tight, the links to the tv show and the special affects make this movie a must see! Forget the first one happened and go see it for yourself.

The Japanese certainly wanted to conquer all of China just like the Mongols did, and they even made an attempt to conquer Mongolia. The Mongols conquered almost the entire known world, but the Japanese were left with just their islands after 1945.
He failed to note the REAL reason why this was movie was so good. They made sure their script was great, and they made you care about what was going on!
The script was OK, it had great pacing, and moved the film well. But I didn't give a crap about Liz Tyler or Will Hurt, their performances being so mediocre made me wish they got killed off. Honestly, the 1st 3rd of the film was brilliant, with the favelas. Once they got out of there, it lost that magic.
Well at least he didn't fly in this one (well technically in the first one he jumped up and stayed in the air for awhile like one of the Mario Bros.). And also, this one wasn't like Jurassic Park. Sorry to you Ang Lee fans, but that first one was pure crap!

Spoken from a true Hulk fan i thought the movie was a great tribute to the comics and tv series. Its as if the 2003 movie never happen. The Hulk has a bright future with Marvel studio, the 2nd film will be a jewel just as Spiderman 2.
I think everyone has a different taste in movies. After watching this review out of curiosity and reading the comments everyone likes different stuff. I think iron man needed more fighting less explaining and i didnt care for it too much. my alltime favorite is the spiderman series because it has a mixture of everything and transformers was slow then it picked up the pace.
I would have to concur. It is by far the best recent movie adaption to any Marvel Super Hero. I also enjoyed how the director payed homage to the TV series multiple times in the movie. The shirt ripping, the piano theme, Bill Bixby and Luo Ferigno , Stan Lee cameos. All so great!!
Spider Man 3 was pretty bad. I didn't see Transformers, but know that annoying kid Shia LaBeouf was in it, so I don't want to see it. The Hulk on the other hand was pretty good. I thought it was very classy for the filmakers to give the two leads from the television series cameos in this one (of course Bill Bixby's was posthumous). Still miss the old days when they used actors instead of CGI. Lou Ferigno is THE Hulk! Iron Man was okay, not spectacular, but okay.

Exactly! Physically speaking, Lou Ferigno is the only Hulk from the original t.v. series. Bill Bixby passed and is still missed very much to this day. Both actors were explosive! I need to buy the dvd collection season 1-4!
first off spidey 3 got more than three stars in my book and second off i dont like the hulk because its not inventive. It was a ripoff of the classic Dr. Jackle/ Mr. Hide

how powerful and bad he really is. the made him smaller in the new movie, wtf. and because of cost in cg they have way to little hulk in the movie.

Secondly, I completely agree with your review. It's not as great as Iron Man, but it's certainly an improvement over Ang Lee's crap, as well as Ghost Rider, Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Daredevil.

I had big hopes for this movie. And it is WAY better than the old one. WAY BETTER. And the action scenes were great, but thier wasnt that many of them and the acting and actors wasnt that great. And kinda boring.
But 1.spiderman 3 wasnt that bad. 2.F4 2 wasnt horrible. 3.I really liked ghost rider. That was very good in my opinion.
And iron man was better than this, and dark knight was better than iron man. THOSE ROCKED!!!!

1.Spider-Man 3 was entertaining, and the only problem I have with it is the villains; especially Venom.
2.Rise of the Silver Surfer just didn't entertain me. I liked the first F4, but ROTSS wasn't appealing.
3.Ghost Rider is a fucking mess of horrible acting, meh special effects, and some of the worst dialogue ever!

Ya spiderman 3 had problems with the villians. I loved vemon in all the comics shows but they fucked him up in that. And they had a scrawny guy play him, he is suposed to be a buff jock. Plus u only got to see his face like once the entire movie.
I liked both F4's. Not the best movies out there but they were entertaining.
Ya ghost rider had a low budget but i still really liked it. I can see y some wouldnt though.
Everyone has their own opinion i guess.

I agree. I found the movie disappointing. Maybe that's because I never saw the "abomination" of the last one, but I sat down expecting an action-packed superhero movie, and I just didn't witness that in this movie. :/

superheroes movies don't have to be action packed. Too much action inevitably makes a movie feel hollow. To be honest I think there was just a little too much action. However I like it just the same. I like the fact it it's part bourne movie, part comic book movie.

The origin story's are great if they are done correctly, like in my opinion Iron Man & Batman Begins. I thought those two comic book movies were done very well. But the 08 HULK is definately my fave movie.

The end of the fight made no sense. The hulk was overpowered in every way but he was able to grab the chain, put it around the other guys' neck and choke him until he passes out. I think they could have been a little more creative.

I will agree with you this movie was a little better than iron man. But that has to do with the directors and the fact that iron man was an origin story. I hate origin stories in movies. Batman begins went through the same shit. But everything got better when The Dark knight came out. This is the Hulk movie everyone has been waiting for. I hope the captain america movie wont be a long origin story like Irom man.

yes you're right, hulk jumped right into the action, do you agree with me that the incredible hulk had more internal conflict(Bruce wanting to control the hulk)? In Iron man Tony had everything, but they did do a good job with the idea of having what you really want right in front of your face(pepper potts being in love with Tony) that was a cute little moral for them to throw in.

I think this movie was quite bad...i love Hulk as a character, but i was really disappointed by this version...i think the ang lee version was good, this one was really dumb and the special effects weren't that good either, too much (and bad) action and no heart or depth (sorry for my english, i'm italian)

The action is AMAZING, this is probably my second fav superhero movie after iron man. i think the dark knight would be better than both tho. i would give this at least 4 stars.

This movie is fantastic and hasn't been given enough credit. I took two unwilling friends who ended up being amazed and are now recruiting others to go see it. The cast was amazing, the story was tight, the links to the tv show and the special affects make this movie a must see! Forget the first one happened and go see it for yourself.

The script was OK, it had great pacing, and moved the film well. But I didn't give a crap about Liz Tyler or Will Hurt, their performances being so mediocre made me wish they got killed off. Honestly, the 1st 3rd of the film was brilliant, with the favelas. Once they got out of there, it lost that magic.

i hated the abomination they should have kept him like he looks in the comic and they should have fought during the day insted of at night so you could see the action better i don't know why in all marvel movies the main fight is at night. also i hate the green goblin in spiderman the power ranger suit had to go

I think everyone has a different taste in movies. After watching this review out of curiosity and reading the comments everyone likes different stuff. I think iron man needed more fighting less explaining and i didnt care for it too much. my alltime favorite is the spiderman series because it has a mixture of everything and transformers was slow then it picked up the pace.

I would have to concur. It is by far the best recent movie adaption to any Marvel Super Hero. I also enjoyed how the director payed homage to the TV series multiple times in the movie. The shirt ripping, the piano theme, Bill Bixby and Luo Ferigno , Stan Lee cameos. All so great!!

Spider Man 3 was pretty bad. I didn't see Transformers, but know that annoying kid Shia LaBeouf was in it, so I don't want to see it. The Hulk on the other hand was pretty good. I thought it was very classy for the filmakers to give the two leads from the television series cameos in this one (of course Bill Bixby's was posthumous). Still miss the old days when they used actors instead of CGI. Lou Ferigno is THE Hulk! Iron Man was okay, not spectacular, but okay.

Exactly! Physically speaking, Lou Ferigno is the only Hulk from the original t.v. series. Bill Bixby passed and is still missed very much to this day. Both actors were explosive! I need to buy the dvd collection season 1-4!
