  • ..this is prob my fav MC song...its just got the perfect blend of hauntingly interesting melody, that MC manages to make even more complex with his cool-cool voice...n proud he still goes out n plays it live, like the MAN he is!!! I think the dude was n is an American musical institution..he blended his take on rock n roll history n somehow made it fresh n just way-cool..thank-you Marshall !!!!

  • I love this man.

  • For fans of Marshall Cranshaw His new album Jaggedland will be released on June 2, 2009. Go to the 429records website for more info and to hear tracks.

  • crap :/

  • Don't be so hard on yourself.

  • really? haha. :D

i was all the way to the left of the stage. looks like this was filmed from the other side.

  • Yes really, haha I was right in the middle!

  • "you were? haha. "

Why did you remove this comment. It wasn't nasty.

  • i don't know?

  • "All is Know right now" has the best lead guitar by Crenshaw

  • Capo on the 2nd fret

  • This is from:

"Marshall Crenshaw Live ----At the Can Company"

    Baltimore, Maryland

    May 7, 2004

Jason Crigler, (lead guitar) had a cerebral hemorrhage August 4, 2004. May 7, 2004 is a fitting portion of Jason's legacy. Hopefully we will hear from him soon.

A commendable performance by the trio.

    (with bassist Jeff Hill)

It also rates as an excellent audience recording by the wonderful Ed. Almost like being there!

  • Killer Marshall live shots. I would love to see some of early videos from 1982/1983.

  • Thanks for sharing this! :) I first saw Marshall in the role of the late Buddy Holly in "La Bamba". I LOVED his performance to Buddy's to "Crying, Waiting, Hoping" he was brilliant. :)

  • I loved Crying, Waiting, Hoping also. It was my favorite song for years. I wish there was a whole music video to his Marshall's cover of that song!

  • Marshall covered a Holly song (not that one I think) and a Cochran song at this show. I'll post them later this month.

  • I first saw Marshall in 1983 or 1984, in Memorial Hall, on the UNC campus. The woman whom I asked to accompany me totally wasn't into the scene (or, as it turned out, me) but I didn't care. I loved seeing Marshall, his brother and Phil Donato. Later, in 1985 or 1986, I saw Crenshaw and his original trio once more at, of all places, a UNC frat party. I was mesmerized but all the frat brothers and their women treated his music as background.

  • Yeah...an awful lot of audience noise. Not really getting what they are hearing. Like casting pearls before swine. Too bad for the

    others.

  • The chattering masses.
