This idea was dreamt up on the Thursday night over a dinner when some people were reviewing photos taken that day, there was one of Daniel sitting at a long table on his own.
Joke: Daniel has no friends- therefore he needs a hug.
Oliver who you see in the first hug with the pony tail as being at the centre of the hug then came up with the Group Hug and organised it with 20 Seeds, this lead to the whole thing happening. Regards - PO'M

Since a couple years back, organized Ubuntu Bug Days (where everyone gets together to triage bugs in the OS) were Hug Days--everyone would get together on IRC and if you helped with a bug you got a hug. Daniel Holbach was the one who came up with this fun idea to get everyone to help out and encourage each other.
