to get your voltages at 14.0 or higher you need to do the BIG 3 that is the cables for your battery the pos and neg. use 0 gage wire you can also put in a second battery as well

Was wondering if you still have a stock alternator, from what I have seen, with this much power, we should have a 200 amp high output alternator. I also have bought a 2 farad capacitor to help stablize even more... what are your thoughts?

@myspacequint14 hifonics amps use the 1 ohm rms wattage in the name of the amp so he said its a 1606, so i'm sure its a 1600 watt rms amp at 1 ohm, and if he is playing each voice coil on the sub at 2 ohms then that pulls a 1 ohm load from the amp, but if he has each voice coil playing at 4 ohms, then he's pulling a 2 ohm load from the amp, and probably near 800-900 watts rms and if the coils are playing at 8 ohms each then it's pulling a 4 ohm load and closer to 400 watts rms...continued...

...continued... i'd say he's pulling a 1 ohm load for those L7's since the subs are 1000 watts rms each so the best option is to go with a 2 ohm wire configuration that pulls a 1 ohm load and beat them kickers like they should be beat lol....hope this helps

@kingsxranch you have to get speakers that can handle the loud highs and mids. i like to turn the bass all the way down on my deck because my subwoofer does all the beating and it wont distort as much. you can always hook up a amp to your mids and highs.

that means your amp and subs are taking too much of your cars power and dimming your lights. you need to upgrade your alternator, or add or upgrade your battery(s).
