But can't agree that it is "nothing like" the Doors cover: it adopts the Doors arrangement of repeating the line "Show me the way to the next..." in each verse (not done in original, Bowie or Simone versions). And, like the Doors cover, it omits the "next little dollar" verse of the original (and Bowie cover). So, in structure, this IS like the Doors cover.

Influence is subtle: a claim like "my version is nothing like previous versions" is rather risky....
