Dragonplate is better than daedric. Just because none of you know how to get it better than daedric or insist on sticking with your experience doesn't mean dragonplate is worse. Once you get smithing enchantments and blacksmith elixirs, the armor upgrades to dragonplate go above those for daedric, albeit not as much.

In order to get dragonplate you need 10 extra smithing (time+money) and a skill point (could be spent elsewhere). And on top of that it isn't even better than daedric. I'd consider that "MUCH worse", even if the armor difference is only 5-10 points.

@NeonChem Actually it's really good. The scale is light armor, so I keep my deadric armor in a chest for big dragon fights, and other boss fights. Dragon scale is for normal stuff, and dark brotherhood. So it's better to have both.
