Ha... I love them. I hated the 996 headlights. The 997 brings it closer to the traditional 911 look. The whole idea of the 911, IMHO, is that it is a timeless classic. Trendy headlights were never the way to go. Simple lasts. The body design has lasted so long for a good reason.

i love porsche because they sporty when you want them to be and you can use it every day and for a supercar it has some very good mpg and unlike the ferrari 599 wich i like a lot but it  makes about 17 mpg on the highway and the porsche 911 is about 23 mpg.And the ferrari you can not use it every day.

Is not necessary to say ferraris are good or not . Ferraris are GREAT CARS period. I would love to have a F430. Now, I have 2 porsche 993. A 1995 993 and a 993 C2S , and both are extraordinary examples of master engineering. 911 will be forever an ultimate example fo evolution and technology. And 993 the last and ultimate example of an air cooled machine. The best of the best.

completely right, there may be some faster cars, but they mostly need some huge engines... for exampe: a new 997 GT3 (stock) does a 7.47 on the nordschleife, a pagani zonda S does a 7.44... 3secs difference -> pretty strange if you think that this zonda has more than twice the displacement and twice as much cyls and weights less than the 997. porsche - there's no better developed car IMO

Not year, but (993)chassis! 993 was the last Air-cooled 911(1994-98), also 'technically' unchanged since 1964. If you like AWD air-cooled turbo 911, then 959 is best choice. If RWD - go for 935.
