in short, it was a sacrifice for mu cheng so that guang xi would live even if it meant compromising her own happiness...

mu cheng left guang xi because guang xi's mother told her to take care of him until he did the surgery which saved his life. yi qiang and director he are the ones who directed the surgery to save him so guang xi's mother felt that she needed to repay them by getting guang xi to marry yi qiang. mu cheng was too kind hearted so she didnt refuse and left him :(
