@LDdrummerman Thanks, I will look at the "Fusion" groove I played at about 4:00 and try to put a future video out, as the transcribed groove! .Thansk again, Todd Walker
Hi Todd and thanks, I favourited this vid ages ago, I think its a well nice fill. You explain the phrasing clearly but I wish you'd have added suggestions for drum placement. (is this the right term?)
Are you playing
S S 1Tom B. S B. FlrT S B. 2Tom 1Tom B. S 1Tom F F. ???
thank you Todd, for posting these videos. I'm a more metal drumming oriented but i find the grooves and beats that you teach very insteresting and cool. Keep the videos coming :)
Thanks again! Remember playing is what you know, practicing is working on new material you need to improve on! Pick a idea or two and set a goal not by the day , go by the month, or year and achieve over time, not for the moment. You will be amazed at the results and succeed at all your expectations !!!!
Wow that is tight! Love your instruction! such an inspiration 2 me!. Question, do you have any suggestions for practice? I use 2 hrs a day 2 practice but lots of times don't feel I accomplishing much. What a routine is recommend such as fills, grooves, rudiments, exercises, play along/listening to music, etc.. What should I use the time doing? How long should I do each, what order, when to move on when learning something new, all geared toward precision power technique, and musicality?
great video can you make one showing the fusion groove you did at about 4:02
