Funny,I got on youtube tonight to check out some Ted Nugent video's,but I didnt because i got sidetracked on other vid's for two hours.Just as I was about to log out i went to my home page and this video was sitting there because Rickyon had commented on it,kooky,so i had to check it out.Anyway,,,carry on.
Ted went for the record sales. Ted wanted MONEY, guess you can say he sold out in a way. Up to Free for All, Ted was kind of a fringe band, Once Cat Scratch Fever came out and DbLive Gonzo...he saw the MONEY, he listened to Producers instead of his guts. His core fans marvel at his riffs, the intencity, his style. He was gathering mainstream fans and it went to his head. His back ups became less and less involved as well....he went for a big change ( to suit the times) . He came back though
Yeah and it comes with conversion software and they cost around $100 or more. The problem is that I don't know how well they work and I'm a little hesitant to pull the trigger. They also have a USB cassette deck and I have loads of cassettes I'd like to convert but the same thing applies, How well do they work? I have to do some more research!
Hey Del, I was checking this vid out again(I know it's my own page but hey I only post the songs I love! So when I'm just casual listening where else would I go but to the stuff I love?) and just wanted to update you on the USB Turntable thing. I finally got one and it works great, it also has a jack to plug in my cassette deck and I can convert my cassettes also. So if you hear that old needle hitting the record or the telltale pops and crackles you'll know it is one of my old l.p.'s...Rick
@rickyon - what kind did you get? My vinyl is wasting away and I miss ALL that great music. I've been dying of frustration trying to use Audacity without a usb turntable like DigiWiz does here on U-Tube. I'm SICK of buying everything five times! And I go WAY back to 45s, then LPs, then 8 Tracks (a disaster of hideous proportions) - to cassettes and then to CD. Are you in the states? I think DigiWiz's means well, but across the pond things work differently!
I bought an Ion Audio TTUSB turntable. It was $100 and works well. It comes with decent software and a jack that you can use to plug other players in with the correct cables. The software loads your converted music (MP3) on to I-Tunes and you open I-Tunes to play it back or burn to disc. I'm not familiar with Digiwiz on You-tube but it sounds like he does it the same way I do. I'm in Maryland, in the good ole USA. Good luck.
Man o man Rickyon, where did you find this! The only experience I had with the Amboy Dukes was when as a teenager my friend had one of their albums and from what I remember it was a very forgettable album, except for the classic 'Why Is A Carrot More Orange Than An Orange!! LOL
I have this album and just remembered it had a couple of kick ass rockers on it so I had to dig deep on I-Tunes to find it (alas I still don't have a USB turntable) and get a pristine copy.

Man, this kicks ass on all cylinders. This album is SO MUCH BETTER than nearly anything Nuge subsequently did, I find myself utterly puzzled....

@blite13 It all changed after he went solo in '75 from the Amboy Dukes. '73 and '74 was the end.
