  • @TalonM13 You got to be shitting yourself.

  • I can give you 53 raisons why metallica sucks

  • If i could play this song, i'd play it just like this.

  • @TalonM13 How old are you 5? No thumbs up for you buddy....none at all.

  • @TalonM13 that Mustaine is fired from Metallica does not mean the worse

Now i think metallica doesn't have that energy

    Sry for bad english

  • kidding

  • DEATH METAL VERSION!!!

  • You would'nt happen to have a GOOD tab for this would you?

  • @xXWaWNaziZombiesXx Tabs are the same as in the original version, just tune down your guitar to standard D. D G C F A d :)

  • Now just speed it up a little, and it's the live version. \m/

  • @AJtheGuitarist38 Yeah. I should have thought of that. Too lazy to upload again lol.

  • @AJtheGuitarist38 i'n pretty sure that they play it in Eb live :P

  • what's the normal tuning of the song?

  • @johnthegreek178 haha E derp practically all the thrash is in E except all nightmare long and the thing that should not be and the god that failed is Eb but all the blues and st anger is Eb D and C

  • Hey thanks bro, is there anyway you can do the four horsemen in D?

  • i think that this is the live version of seek and destroy

    did i have right?

  • @georgszilagyi123 He tuned the song to D.

  • omg, sounds exactly like a performance nowadays!

  • EVERYONE LISTEN! They play this song IN D tuning live... If you guys notice that kirk uses his jackson for this song most of the time which is the same guitar for sad but true... which is always tuned in D. This is the only song not originally in D that they play in D.

  • is the same live sound!

  • I like playing any metallica in either eb or D. but some like off of the black album and ajfa, and some dm, i like experimenting in c.

  • the vocals sound way better

  • EVERYBODY LISTEN! LOL I know they play eb....... BUT this song live they always play D STANDARD trust me

  • from 2011 onwords they are gunna tune it down to C# lol. wouldnt be suprised

  • sounds like wen they play it live

  • this is how they play it live now because james' voice has gotten much deeper and it would sound weird with a low voice and high tuning

  • Thumb up if you think like me, METALLICA ROCKS!!!

  • They almost play all of the songs from Kill Em All and Ride The Lightning in D cuz its sounds better with james "new" voice !

  • dude this is the only song from those albums that is played in D everything else is Eb

  • Potato Potaaatooo :P

  • @Machx72 No no no they play all of their live songs in eb except for this one... which is in D and of course the other songs made in D.

  • @Machx72 nowadays most of the songs are played in D# (or Eb),but this song in particular is played in D, dunno why but it seems that James can't get the higher notes in this song...Nevertheless they use E tuning live as well, for example Battery..

  • @EstebanPeralta So, uh... How many more people are going to tell me this?

  • @Machx72

they use D# most of the song, but at Seek and Destroy they use D nowdays... (and for Sad, but true, too)

  • @555Dapple666 Are you unable to read?

  • @555Dapple666 sad but true is normally in d tuning

  • You idiot, they played it live in Eb from 1995 until 2002, and from 2003 on, they've used D tuning on this song. Not others, just this one. And do you know how I've confirmed that? I've tuned my own guitar to D and played along.

  • For one, what the fuck is the point of the insults?

For two, I haven't listened to any live version of this song until after 1999, and by Sharingan's first comment I replied to, it sounded like he was referring to all of Metallica's live stuff.

Calm your ass down, nobody's fighting here, we're just debating.

  • Didn't mean fro that to be an insult, sorry.

  • When i said "nowadays", i was referring to their recent live stuff.

It kinda sucks they use this tuning though. I liked it more when they played it in Eb and honestly i detuned this song to D just so it sounded like the live version.

  • @FenderMetalShredder

yeah i saw them back in september and this is the exact same tuning they played to seek and destroy

  • @FenderMetalShredder I Do that too, jajaja XD

  • @FenderMetalShredder wow, yeah, this sounds almost identical to live versions.

  • @FenderMetalShredder they also play jump in the fire in D aswell xD

  • @jazzathx watch?v=K4kQsvSO6nY

It seems to me they play it in D#.

  • @jazzathx And they also do it for The God That Failed.

  • @FenderMetalShredder you're retarded..

  • @FenderMetalShredder Whiskey in the Jar and Sad But True are in D too XD

  • @FenderMetalShredder I did the same thing, I tried to play along to a live version with my guitar in standard and it sounded waaay fucked up. haha It sounds so much cooler in D

  • @Machx72 they play seek and destroy in D, the rest of the songs are in D#

  • @Machx72 your slackin bro.check out seek and destroy 7 7 09 nimes here on youtube..

  • the studio version doesnt sound good in d sorry

  • james sounds like how he does now in this

  • Hey how did u get the song to D?

  • I used Audacity.

  • @Sharingan1102 Thanks for preserving the quality pretty well. Sounds much better than other dropped tunings I've heard on Youtube. Way less artifacts and warbling, etc. Actually almost sounds like it was recorded like this.

  • @Sharingan1102 this is actually how they play it live now

  • I prefer D honestly. I'd like to see the Shortest Straw in D

  • Yeah, and it suits better James voice tone.

  • Especially now because there's no way in hell he'll never sing that high again.

  • Yeah, that sucks D:

  • Yeah, I prefer James' 80's voice and Lars 80's drumming. I hate maturing

  • They were at their best in the 80's. I still like them though.

  • 80's were their pure thrash. Now their trying to fit-in in today's music with Death Magnetic. I really respect them for St. Anger. To have to to exress your musical funtality and hopes. Metallica is #1

  • Yeah, they are my fave band :D. Btw, gtg rite now. Talk to you later, dude.

  • Yeah, the solos in there kick ass.

  • Yeah. James and Kirk got a lot better. Around when they released AJFA James and Kirk were at their best. It's a shame Cliff was RIP at that time.

  • same with Lars. Justice was his best album. EX: Dyers Eve

  • Yeah, you are right.

  • I think it ruled. The only bad thing is that the solos feel repetitive once you have heard all the songs.

  • wtf?

  • Wtf what?
