I cannot believe that this song has had only 12,577 hits as I think that this is one of the two best songs that they ever did! I do not think that the masses have very much musical tastes. It is very said. Thank you to whoever put this on!
You would think they would at least plug in the guitars to make it look like a real performance. And where's the sax? I never got the thinking behind lip synced performances, they thought the audience wouldn't know the difference? Maybe Mick's vocals are live? They sound a little different than the studio version.
@FenderBassMustang Yeah, it's obvious to any practiced musician this is a "canned video"...
However, bear in mind; This was the trend at the time, and, the primitive version of the contemporary 'music video'. Almost all established bands did this during the classic rock era.
In no way does the video subtract from the quality and awesomeness of this song. In fact, I rather enjoy it. Better than the superficial garbage that is 90% of today's music (videos included).
@heavynischelle - it's 2 months since you asked, so someone's probably told you that it's The Hollies - possibly most famous for ''He ain't heavy, he's my brother''
I guess they use to do lip sync back then on live TV show. because I am pretty sure that the back vocalist is Nanette Workman (Newman) the one credited on the album. And since I know her very well I do know that she only sang in studio when the song was originally recorded, she never performed live on stage or live on TV with them.
@theatreazur Yeah looks/sounds like here they've got mostly all studio tracks, except Jagger's vocal is definitely not from the studio version. But there's some other weirdness too, like the way the ending is compressed (it skips a beat or 3 compared to original).
@KellyGreen5555 You were agreeing with @ree691 that Mick looks like a beautiful English prince. I'm assuming you mean Mick Taylor. He is such a doll. All that thick wavy blond hair and a beautiful face. Sorry, I can't say the same for Jagger or anyone else in the band. Mick Taylor IMHO was the best thing in the band. Thanks for posting.
@JaspersonianRules Ah - LOL - sorry!!!! Well then I guess both of us has our own vision of a beautiful English Prince named Mick ;D Thanx for your reply.
this was taped the DAY they learned of brian's death. the DAY!

The Stones are without a doubt the best rock band ever. Too bad they are a bunch of devil worshipping ex junkies like all the other rock guys.
