  • I also know why they're called "bald eagles". It's b/c they never need a haircut. Sorry, a little eagle joke.

  • In fact, the famous Latin singer "Christina Aguilera's" last named is derived from the Latin word for "Eagle" -- "Aguila".

  • However, the bald eagle ISN'T the largest member of the eagle family. The largest member is the PHILIPPINE MONKEY-EATING EAGLE.

  • @DanaAbel30

You are a real fountain of wisdom! Very pleased to have met you!

  • And the nest is called an "AERIE". Well, I've always had a fascination for eagles.

  • @DanaAbel30

  • Another island was ALCATRAZ.

  • 0:50 - That scene of NYC must've been shot around between 1967 and 1969. The now-long gone World Trade Center twin towers and the Lower Manhattan Financial District buildings along the East River didn't exist just yet.

  • God Bless the United States of America!

  • I have the other bald eagle film where it flies over the country and the city. That'll be part of my future posts which I'll hopefully get to by this month or next month.

  • Ever wonder why we call it a bald eagle? Well if you look at the white feathers on the head close up you see the feathers. But from far away it looks like he doesn't have white feathers on his head so goes the name Bald eagle.

  • @panda374

  • Do you know why we call it a bald eagle even though it is not really bald? Look at the whtie feathers close up it you see the feathers on the head but from far away he looks like he does not have any so goes the name bald eagle.

  • Why don't they say where all theese islands are or the names of the island? Yes we see he is looking at an island what what is the island he is looking at? Yes I see that island is very big what what island is it?

  • Do they have bald eagles in New York?

  • No. The largest population of bald eagles in the world is @ the Chilkat River, up in Alaska.

  • @DanaAbel30

I had no idea of that! Thank you very much for sharing it with me and all of you other You Tube friends!
