I like this. However, I do NOT understand HOW the term "Melodic Death Metal" is fitting if said term is fitting for the Genre. To me, it sounds like, for the most part, the old Classic Metal Bands Judas Priest, Iron Maiden (early years) but with todays sound/recording advances, Death-Metal-like vocals and and little more speed at times.. Or, is that what Melodic Death is basically?

@l10co Your opinion is valid. However, two bands can have similarities even if one sucks. My statement, to clarify, sounds less like the death bands i grew up listening to like Possessed, Cannibal Corpse, ect and more like Priest and Maiden back then. Maiden was a fav back in those days and probably influential to bands that do not seem resemble them at all. Technically, you get get the best musicians from Jazz to play Iron Maiden covers and most would probably hate it.

@Dzschelebo Yeah, I don't know why I just didn't do that in the first place. From what I read, it pretty much sums up what I originally said except more eloquently with background history. There were a lot pre-death bands I liked back in the early 80s unfortunetly a lot of them sold-out to the hair-band/glam metal stuff which I hated. This is basically just a mix of the original type Metal with Death. Check out Blood Tsuami, Thrash with NWOBHM elements, borrowing from Slayer and Iron Maiden
