the music is a rip from the soundtrack, probably for the simple reason that the video was recorded without audio, or it had really bad quality. BUT, you can see that they are indeed playing the song dubbed in.

This is one of many reasons why Nintendo's in-house projects have and probably always will be the best quality in gaming. Hands down. Sure, you can argue that they've sold out recently with all their Wii waggle-inspired side-games, but its their major releases like this one that really show that they still have insane talent. Can't wait for the sequel.

The person holding the score is Koji Kondo he's been composing music for mario and Zelda since the 80's. One of the guys sitting down is Mario's creator Shigeru Miyamoto.

Doubt me as you wish, I downloaded the soundtrack and that is the exact-sounding recording. I won't say it's impossible that this is the time they recorded that, but I will say it should sound different with the camera being there with the orchestra.

No, I think it's just a really big sound lag, because the bows don't really move with the music. Believe me, I play violin in an orchestra, and the bows should move when the note change. It's probably real, just kind of laggy.

Using a real-life Orchestra helped the game's music immensely. Had they gone with MIDI's, it may- just may have- been less quality than this pure, Orchestra music.
