Did anyone else also notice that the Bluths next attorney was Bob Loblaw, who was played by Scott Baio...he also replaced Harry Winkler in Happy Days lol
Yet another example, of literally hundreds, why this show was/is/will always be miles ahead of everything else on TV. The amount of thought that went into everything every character did is just astounding. Best. Show. Ever.
Buster was AWESOME in Chuck. I hate how they handled his leaving the show. If you haven't watched any of Chuck nows a great time to start renting it. He comes in at Season 2 after the Asian Guy in Dexter left. Dang I hate when I have brain farts all celebrity names. Especially the ones I like.
@ytgurlii Yeah, the show loved to poke fun at odd things in the actors career, like Mr.Show,etc. and also roduct placement...god i miss this show...why did fox cancel this and keep family guy???
I pretty much understand a new Happy Days reference every time I go through the seasons. Ron Howard's the narrator, Henry Winkler was replaced by Scott Baio! It all makes so much SENSE!
i think it would be funnier if he said the original like "and i skipped breakfast so im off to get a chicken tender crisp" but Winkler couldnt get the line down so he just said burger king :/
Not only was this a reference to Winkler's time as The Fonz, they also make another thinly-veiled reference to their corporate sponsor, Burger King. It's a wonderful restaurant!
Arrested Development is so deep with every joke it seems like. You would have to watch it over and over and over to get all of the jokes...which is the life goal that I'm trying to cross off the list this very moment. Stopping world hunger will just have to wait.
@Ravenkliff It's kind of a received opinion that the 3rd series wasn't as good - but I found myself laughing at it more than the other two, probably because it's the culmination of all that went before it. So clever AND silly, a great combination.
@Garykelleher123 id agree, tho the quality only went slightly downhill because they had to rush all of the story arcs. i would still say that AD did a fantastic job on season 3 even though they had to deal with fox
@cugamer Although I consider AD to be one of the BEST SHOWS EVER, I have to say it started to jump the shark with the Mr. F plotline. Unfortunately, for AD (and its fans) the show was ahead of its time. Smart, witty, no laugh track, and side-scenes. I'm glad they're bringing it back.
Gotta say I didn't even put the two together. However I laughed out loud in the scene he is in the bathroom and looks in the mirror then realises, whats to comb, too cool for school. I was looked at by everyone else thinking what was the joke?? Then I said "C'mon" and made myself laugh having numerous flashbacks of Gob. It was about then I needed new friends as I was labeled a psycho by the current ones.
@facecycle That's what was so brilliant about this show. You had the hilarious plotlines sprinkled with subtle jokes that weren't thrown in your face.
How did I miss this!? I'm watching the show for the 4th time and just caught Ron Howard getting offended at their publicist calling George Michael "Opie."
Yeah, this is the first time that I actually notice that and I watch this show religiously. It is quite a shame that a show of this quality got cancel while shows like Two and A Half Man (lol the kid is rude), Law and Order ( so many rape victims), and the Bachelor (women competing for "love") are still on the air. I'm mad as hell and i won't take it anymore!!
this has to be the greatest thing about AD. Just when you think you had every joke figured out, BAM!, there's one that was hiding right in front of you. Arrested Development is a neverending joke machine.
@jgcfc58 in an episode of Happy Days Fonzie (in swim trunks and his leather jacket no less) waterskiied over a shark. It was such a memorably dumb episode that they use the term "jumping the shark" when a once great show has run its course and it just does really stupid gimmicks to keep viewers interested.
