  • She looks like Leia!

  • Goldfrapp eat ya heart out!

  • Music from the 70`s and 80`s are history.

  • i'm a seventy year old who still cant keep still when listening to gorgeous noosha. can anyone help me get hold of a copy of single beds?

  • Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurder :) The biggest song 4 my dad :D 10 thumbs up!!! Like this track

  • i have been in love with noosha since i was eleven. I am 47 and still in love, Where is she, and is it true that the scientist Ben Goldacre is her son? She's got magic!

  • Brings back memories........ 16 y/old lad watching TOTP, sexy lady!!! :-)

  • Just bloody brilliant :)

  • The bass player looks like a bloke I used to know that worked in an East London Printers. His office stunk of stale fart.

  • This is such a nice song. Somehow music of the 70's makes me incredibly happy. Maybe because I was so young?

  • @tatia641 And me. I was 17 when this song was released. I like to trawl the vids on You Tube for 70s music. I go straight back in time to my teenage years, and any worries that I might have just vanish for a while.

  • @junkers290 Actually I was only 10 or 11 when it was released, it was more the music my parents listened to which I started to discover at that age. I also check out the videos for 70's music and just travel back in time - YT is such a nice time machine! And though I know it wasn't like that, in my memories these times seem to have been an everlasting summer:-)

  • @tatia641 Haha, you're right, it wasn't all sweetness and light in those days. Maybe like me, you tune out the not so nice stuff that was going on at the time, and just enjoy the great tunes that were happening then. Sitting and thinking about it now, it does seem like the Seventies was an endless summer.

  • where is she now, i love this so much and you never hear of fox on the radio .

  • Heard this again the other week, one of those songs that instantly takes me back to my childhood. I was only ten & used to sing into a hairbrush to this haha!! Is it me or does Alison Goldfrapp look & sound like Noosha Fox?

  • Wahnsinnslied..... heute bin ich ein alter Sack, damals war ich vier Jahre alt.... ich kann mich aber an das Lied erinnern, als ob es gestern war..... Kinder, was die Zeit vergeht!!!

  • @maestral71

    MUNTERBLEBEN

  • I think Blondie owes some of thier success to Debbie Harry ( one of my all time idols )

adopting the style of Noosha's sexy, alluring, vampish and ultimately seductive air of a

woman who knows how desireable she is, and has no qualms about using that quality.

  • Great Song.

    Very attractive lead singer. ;-)))

  • Heard this song after good 30 years again. Came like a mental whiplash to me. When i was 17, this woman's appearance and voice fascinated me tremendously. And still today.

  • klingt wie menderes....wär doch mal n song für ihn...lach

  • einfach kult und zeitreise

  • Da kommen Erinnerungen hoch...Das waren noch unkomplizierte Zeiten...

  • Actually its the guy in the green top....

  • The guy in the white top playing guitar, is the guy who was on Britains got Talent last Saturday!!

  • i've heard her son is that scientist goldacre

  • love this :-)

  • i have this single.....still a classic.

  • A guilty pleasure!

  • is einfach geil

  • If this genuis pop song was released today, it would still sound totally modern.

  • Ez a fox legjobb száma! Imádom!

  • "Only you can" erschien im Spätsommer 1974.

  • Goldfrapp clearly influenced by these!! amazing band!! takes me back to being really tiny !!!

  • moresynth - Thanks for posting this song!

Listen for great music like this on a new radio station called "OffTheCharts" - featuring 70's (and some 80's) lost hits and chart wonders!

Go to Live365.com, type OFFTHECHARTS in the Search box and click on the station logo. The audio stream should begin. Become a VIP member and listen commercial free!

This song is being featured this week!

  • Brings back memories of 1975; we had just moved house, and my older (male) next door neighbour used to imitate Noosha singing this; he did the voice pretty good and improvised some naughty words LOL interesting to see her again after all these years; her dress style is rather similar to Stevie Nicks, who I discovered later and still love :)

  • Tak dawno nie słyszałem tego przepięknego głosu i teraz jest wreszcie po latach, wielkie dzięki za możliwość !!!!!! Wspaniały utworek !!!!!!!

  • Noosha came to our notice in Australia in a video of "SSS Single Bed" on a TV show called "Countdown" hosted by Ian "Molly" Meldrum. Up till then we'd never heard of her, and it was a surprise to hear that she was Australian. "Single Bed" was a No 1 hit here. "Only You Can" was released in Oz a short time later. Great songs! Tried for ages too get hold of them but it was only fairly recently that they appeared on Amazon on CD. Have to listen to her every night!!!!!

  • LOVE THIS, 5*****

  • what a beauty noosha is.ive signed up to her new web site waiting for it to start love you noosha xxx

  • beautiful noosha were is she now.ive tried to get on her website but at the moment its not working.xxx

  • awesome

  • that guy playing organ is Pete Solley,he had a brief stint with Whitesnakein their very early days...

  • i would'nt have thought the keyboard player would have joined whitesnake.

  • it's got a very T-Rex sound..

  • apparently noosha used to be in a folk band called Wooden Horse. i think you can find them on lastfm.

  • @JamieKayChingching i found em- theyre amazing:-)

  • Hands down the most mind-boggling, brain-liquifying phasing effect ever recorded. Still sounds awesome, particularly compared to all the digitally processed bullshit in today's "music".

  • dont u mean behind her time, she is like marlene detrich.

  • @stevethepainter1 lots of singers look like old hollywood film stars at one point or another, doenst mean they arn't original..... its a hair style...

  • i loved her style then and i love it now.she's like some horny great aunt that you look forward to visiting!

  • Noosha is a real sexy woman without trying, nice thumb work !!

  • xDDD

  • Taes me back to my days in South Africa, Durban. Radio 5, Port Natal, Springbok Radio!!!!!!!!!!!those were the good old days man

  • ONLY YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE YOU

  • So Great...But What The F*** were they thinkin' ?... ...

Probably the record company draggin' their feet...then rushing to cash in before it was too late....and inadvertantly creating the 'GlamRock' SwanSong project that was FOX...Lov 'em all the same.....Great stuff Noosha !

  • just found if i point at the moon, all of their work was great

  • great song but can anyone remember if i point at the moon , great song with a great vocal.

  • Good song but S-S-Single Bed was even better!

  • love this song and anything from this era, looking at more on moresynth he must have exactly the same taste in music as me

  • Not sure if anyone watches Emmerdale but Noosha is the image of the woman who plays Sally, the one who's terrorising Ashley, the vicar!

    Love this song tho!

  • Hahaha spitting dab of her!

  • Omigod! Forgotten how brilliant and unique 'Fox' were. Saw them live back in the 70's I recall and actually had a letter published in NME at one time because I remarked that Noosha in many pics looked like Garbo. I reckon that if their music was re released now it would be even more popular than 'way back when'...its as fresh and different as ever and thanks to all 'You Tubers' who've posted these vids and jolted my memories of this fantastic group. Where's Noosha these days?

  • So... is Noosha still as spaced out these days?

  • Gavinski - where is she? What is she up to? I've never forgotten how gorgeous she was.

  • cheers moresynth-love it -i really enjoyed seeing the vid-thanks for uploading this old pop classic

  • Brilliant !! brings back great memories to a wrinkley LOL. Incidently what happened to Noosha???

  • I heard this song one time as child in 1975 and second time I heard it in the Netherlands in 1997. I recognized it directly!

  • As a cycling fan, I used to sing 'You can ride your bike like your name is Eddy Merckx' to this. Yes, I'll get me coat...

  • hate to say this but.... clare grogan was a noosha impersonator.

  • glad I was there to share.......thanks...

  • A great song you again Gavinski 68 yes she rocks a great singer love Shirls xx

  • Great to see these old fox vidz! :)

My Auntie Sue rocked then and she still rocks!!

    hehe :)

  • "Auntie Sue" broke a lot of hearts in the 1970s. If you're in touch with Auntie Sue, tell her she's a very naughty auntie... and that we look forward to hearing from her!

  • supposedly she modeled herself on Marlene Dietrich.love this song and imagine me.

  • noosha fox,i love you,i loved you in 1975 as now

  • Noosha fox was ahead of her time. Her fey style belonged in the post punk era of Siouxsie and so on. And there's a bit of proto-Kate Bush in her voice too.

  • @Drblooter99 I agree. In fact I would say the proto-Kate Bush is not only in her voice but in her physical performance too.

  • @Drblooter99 Correct

  • Magic record, but the `B` side is better,it`s called `Take me out of your body`.As a 15 year old i used to lie with me then girlfriend on me bed listening to it over and over ! Whoa "! Happy Memories.

  • I am so confused. Why is there a song on my BattleZone II CD that matches this song and artist name? I don't hear any resemblance between the two.

  • turns up on radio -at last ,have old vinyl &

    wish it was then.joorn.

  • My Nana used to dance too this. On the "Only U can -o-ho-o-ho-oh" bit, she used to move her tummy muscles up and down - as a kid I was transfixed.

  • wow also been in the back of my mind for ages..now found and brings back all of the 70's fun...if only ??

  • She is from Australia

  • great ive been looking for this for monthes thnx for posting

  • Early 1975 - and this just sounded soooo different it blew me away! Have a gander at S-S-Single Bed & Imagine Me Imagine you .... and top marks to the band for actually daring to be different!

  • das waren noch zeiten *träum*

  • Love Noosha :)

  • It's just fantastic to hear a band who are prepared to try something a bit different. Noosha, loved your voice! Kenny, loved your music - even got the Yellow Dog stuff! What you all doing now?

  • My first EP !!

  • Gorgeous

  • This was New Wave music at it's best back then, only the term New Wave wasn't used yet.

  • This isn't a New Wave song, is more 70's pop. But I can hear traces of her in the likes of Liz Fraser from the Cocteau Twins.

  • Nice thumb work.....

  • OMG! It's Kate Bush's mother! Lol!

Only kidding. Love Noosha always! ;-)

  • You could be right! Kate may have heard this song and took note!

  • Love this song! That voice! Beautiful!

  • she was so out there then !! no one was like Noosha, beautiful.

  • Pureshit you keep coming back for more, you cant leave it alone can you

  • Dear Michael 65, was your hand shaking a bit too frantically to spell ignorant correctly ? We shall draw our own conclusions.

  • the buckfast has gone to your brain you tosser.

  • This was known as alternative music way back when you igmorant wanker.Don't like? Don't listen!

  • Fantastic cut!

I wish someone would post "Imagine Me, Imagine You" as well.

  • Comment removed

  • I bought this the day it was released, if you weren't there at the time you can never underestimate the value of "novelty" in the 70's, but guess what, it's all about to come back anytime soon, just praying for the day when Prada & Gucci and all the rest of that crap goes to the wall.

  • She looks buzzed out of her heed,ha hahahahaah

  • Hardly tuneless I think you will find. Unique yes, like all the best pop music, but tuneless never!!.

  • fool

  • hahahahahahaha, Thatcher hitching a lift, man thats funny!!!

  • Good news is I just found "Imagine Me, Imagine You" on the video jukebox in a local bar.Its gonna get played a lot....

  • Noosha's voice!Thanks very much for posting!

  • Noosha is so quirky,i love her and the songs great too.

  • richtig genial!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I always loved this record.

Noosha (Susan Traynor) has got the sexiest voice I've ever heard.

  • Their time in the charts was all too brief but they made some good records.

  • SO GOOD.

  • wunderbar

  • I have enjoyed Fox's music from their begining. I bought their first album 'FOX' and it's a work of heart, then their second album 'Tales of Illusion'which is simply brilliant. There is a CD available through HMV, which is their first album with some bonus tracks added, the 'B' sides from 'Only you Can and Imagine me Imagine you, which are well worth a listen. It would be fantastic if they were still performing, I would travel anywhere in the world to see them perform live

  • I used to think Noosha was so sexy back then. Is that Lol Creme in green behind Noosha?

  • ModAvenger -

Not Lol Creme, although there is a resemblance. It is in fact Herbie Armstrong, who played in Van Morrisons band in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

And yeah... I still think Noosha is the sexiest woman in the history of the world!

  • Thanks.

  • You're welcome :)

  • lovely noosha!

So ahead of her time- Alison Goldfrapp & Noosha, seperated at birth?

  • Great Stuff. I loved Imagine Me Imagine you as well. Got her greatest hits cd a few years back. The video Imagine Me Imagine you

features in the great 70's film side by side

    starring Stephanie De Sykes

  • I often wonder if this singer is still going nowadays and if so, where does she perform? This was a great 70;s act!

  • top song ..and with her singing..aged 18.was great times. and i still like the song 33 yrs later..

  • look at her smile at 2.88 :-)

fantastic song and a very kind person.

  • She makes great use of her thumbs

    in that dance as well.

  • has anyone got any more songles from fox not found on you tube.

"Imagine Me, Imagine You" (1975) #15 UK, #7 Germany

    "Strange Ships" (1975)

    "My Old Man's Away" (1977

  • Haven't got a TOTP appearance but just put Imagine Me, Imagine You mp3 up. Last video uploaded on my channel.

  • Ah, rushing home from school in the mid 70's, and hoping the power was on, to drool over Noosha.

Serious backing band too, tongue in cheek, but great stuff. Halcyon days.

  • has anybody "got imagine me , imagine you" on video. would be appreciated. cheers.

  • Lange gesucht,aber nie gefunden.Bin sehr zufrieden!!!!

  • only you can huh huh.... huh huh.. huu honly

    youuu. love it thanks

  • thanks for this M.....

  • Fantastic Noosha Fantastic :)

  • Received my 1sdt tonge-kiss from a neighbours's Girl... nice time.

  • *****Super*(Musik)*Video*5+1KÖLNERsterne*****

  • first heard this at a football match, and was probably the first record i brought. Still got it today,i love it.

  • I reckon Girls Aloud could make a go of this song, or Amy Winehouse, just a thought, this song reminds me of when i was 5yrs,

  • " I reckon Girls Aloud could make a go of this song, or Amy Winehouse, just a thought"

WHAT!!! Are you insane . Girls aloud are not even a band , just a bunch of talentless tarts miming and showing off their tits just like every girl band that every existed , and as for that worth tuneless talentless drug addict tatoo'd waste of space Winehouse..don't get me started. Leave the classics alone . There's not one artist alive today ( in the pop world anyway )who has a microbe of talent

  • OK OK KEEP YOUR HAIR ON, IT WAS JUST A PASSING THOUGHT, WAS TRYING TO VISUALISE SOME OTHER PEOPLE SINGING THAT SONG, wHAT ABOUT STEVIE NICKS OUT OF FLEETWOOD MAC OR MACY GRAY, DID NOT MEAN TO GET YOU RILED SORRY, I PREFER THE OLD CLASSIC ARTISTS ALSO,

  • 100% agree. Nobody could touch the fabulous Noosha. Fox had more talent in their fingertips than those talentless bimbos Girls Aloud. What an insult even thinking they could touch this song. It would be sullied in their vile hands!!

  • Agree completely . A totally original band with talent and creativity in abundance . And as for Noosha ..what a beauty . She hypnotises me .

  • Absolutely, I have all of the Fox output. Their first album is still an overlooked classic. I love it after all these years. Yes Noosha was alarmingly aluring wasn't she?

  • Aluring isn't enough , mesmerising is more apt . Wonder how she's looking now ?

  • Lol you said it!

  • Brilliant and ohhh so sexy

  • I though I was the only one who though that Noosha Fox was attractive, so I had to keep it quiet. I now get slated for thinking that the song was one of the greatest 70's pop songs ever made (pop). I'd love to hear a remix - but try and get someone to sing it as well...fat chance. Noosha is one of a kind. Thanks!

  • sex appeal..strange thing

  • Alison Goldfrapp eat your heart out - FANTASTIC

  • Funny how I probably hadn't heard this song in 30 years and remembered so many of the lyrics.

They don't make them like that anymore.

  • I would invite her round to mine for dinner but I would hide all the knives first 8-(

  • jkabrwn

At 2.47 it's 'swoon'...a word not used much these days.

    Great post.

  • one of my all time favourite pop songs. noosha is sooo beautiful.

  • In Australia this song hit the charts in late 1976, as a follow up to their number one song SSS Single Bed.

The B side was Imagine Me, Imagine You, which also recieved airplay.

  • Fantastic song - thanks for posting it 8-)

  • she is soooo sexy

  • is this song about cocaine or anything? it so sounds like someone sniffing a line during the chorus...

  • i really love this, i'm glad someone finally posted it, thanks moresynth. But what does she say at 2.47? Sounds like only you can make me swallow! unlikely. only other thing could be swarm?

  • @jkabrwn "Swoon", I believe :)

  • This was a hit in 1976, not 1975
