MadCar 3dsmax tutorial part 1

hm,... when i link the model´s wheels to the MadCarRig via the MotionControlls my wheels change scaling an get really big. How can i scale down after linking my wheels to mad car??

@briannjenga thnx, u can find it everywhere but no keys or crack, guess u've to buy it, but if u found one plz lets know and yes i should keep the older version but i'm not into animating cars all the time so its not a big deal still its nice to do it from time to time :)

@damafiafz i'm very sad i cant reply since its been a very long time since i last used it, but try doing it again step by step carefully u shouldnt get any problems unless u r working with a model that contains groups

of them (wheel and chassis) and when i try to fix it, don't work.

how can i block the change of the scale?

i used to have lots of unfinished cars myself in the past, the key to a full model is to continue till the final render!!

things will look much pretty then and u can only tweak a little :D

I have made car length, back axle and front measurements as halves of the measurements.

My wheels becomes really big when I can assign to the madcar frame, I don't know why. Can you help me with that?

I even tried changing the wheel width and radius of madcar frame, but it still comes out as the same big wheels!!

I actually did figure it out. Like ype80 said, if you scale the wheels and chassis before, it will get huge. Sometimes scaling is required if you have to model using accurate dimensions.

After scaling, the fix for this is to take each individual wheel/chassis individually and group it. Once that's done applying the plugin won't enlarge the parts of the car.

first of all, thank you very much for this tutorial, however I would like to ask you if you please could you upload to megavideo, because the quality is kind of poor in youtube (even in HQ) and I couldn't follow it properly, hope you can I would like to see your tutorial (part 01 and 02) nuch better... kind of difficult...

well air downloading the plugin is the hardest! u now have 2 files, the one with the dlo extension goes in the plugin folder, the other file if exists goes in the max folder, then follow the tutorial :)

it shows the same as urs a little cube and a triangle but maybe the resolution isnt on its best.

but if u mean the big selection box thats bcoz u've to follow the snap options i mentioned to make it easier to snap, hope i replied well

and at 1:54,as soon as u put down the madcar it snaps exactly the with and lengh of the car and all the wheels accurately

thats a really good car for your first try. tve tryed a car thousands of time but it never as good as this.
