  • Hello I have a question i couldn't find any answer on google.

Is it possible to put 8 ohm passive speakers on the RCA output? I doubt that it supports that but I would appriciate an answer just to know for sure, ty.

  • with the sennheiser hd650 you recomend this or fiio e9/e10 dac amplifier?

  • just a quick question, which connector would you get the best sound quality out of? USB in, Optical in, RCA in?

  • whats up with the dirty bitch nails

  • Will this work for PS3? Because i would like to increase my sound quality of my Logitech Z-506 speaker system

  • Is good for rip vinyls? or Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD is better ??

    thanks

  • can you please tell me if i can connect 2 logitech systems to it? i currently own a sound blaster live! 24bit and i have both connected to it 1 optical 1 coax. thnx

  • how can i hook this up to my alienware 14x which has the standard 3.5mm and usb 2.0? Will it work to make my 3.5mm headphones sound better?

  • What are the MIDI capabilities of this device? Does it have an onboard MIDI synthesizer?

  • Buy a Sound Blaster X-FI USB HD, and I want to know if the card comes with EAX 5.0, EAX HD, and Creative Alchemy for games?. I also want to know if allows Dolby?, I can not imagine that is high end, it comes with everything ... Thank you very much and hope to help me with my questions. I've always been very loyal to Creative Sound Blaster from 16 and AWE64.

  • Hi

does this card support Fruity loops? and

do it will give me more performance to my pc as a sound card?

  • hey does this work with xbox 360 plz reply asap thank u

  • Is this considered to be an external sound card?

  • @Raptor8762 Yes, but not a very good one. Neither the DAC section or headphones amp sections are very good, and definitely not audiophile or studio grade. You can get much better external sound cards for that money, or even better, get some Asus Xonar internal soundcard (best ST or STX), which will give you performance of much much more expensive devices.

  • Guys, I really need the audio driver for this device!Bought it today, but my cd/dvd drive is not working!Do you know any link??Thank you!

P.S. I'll give couple of beers when you'll be in Vegas!

  • how does this external compare to a extreme gamer x-fi series card?

  • Does it work with s750 set?

  • If you are looking for a card for recording music this is not the card for you. You need a full-duplex card, otherwise you will not be able to hear what you are recording as soon as you punch the record button. They don't tell you that. My sound blaster died after 3 months and support was less than helpful. Likely a driver problem but you can't talk to a real live person. They just send you more stuff to read.

  • hi creative, Just want to say that LOVE your giga works speakers and I have a few of them!! However, when i bought the 5.1 soundblaster card i was disappointed cause there's this high pitch ringing sound when i turn up the volume even just halfway... it bothers me so i gave away to my brother and somehow to him it is just fine, why is that? Still I am considering this Soundblaster X-Fi HD card but am afraid i'll go thru the same thing again as before, please advise, thanks!!

  • On a critical Amazon review someone stated that the SPDIF input cannot accept a 41.1kHz signal.

    Can someone concur?

  • I ordered it yesterday, so I hope I'll get it within 2-3 days :)

I thought that I could change my soundcard on my laptop, but the inputs is connected to the motherboard. Anything I should know about it? Something bad, something good?

  • Can I connect my 1/4 guitar plug into the front mic of the Soundblaster to record rehearsals into Audacity software?

  • @javierf55 i would also like to know that... can you plug a guitar?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrFloydianSlip

Disregard the last post..WAY too many typos.

Everything seems to work fine except for this constant ringing.

The ringing isn't very noticeable until I try recording my vinyl--that's when it's very noticeable.

That sucks because I bought this sound card for recording my vinyl.

Is there a solution to this?

    Thanks alot.

  • can you record using an audio cable with this? I'm thinking about buy one to record my keyboard.

  • So is this actually a headphone amp? Or does the knob just control the windows volume?

  • can i use this to plug an electric guitar to it and play without blowing a set of small speakers, my headphones, my own ears or the card itself?

  • Is it possible to use this sound-card for Home-recording ?

  • On this card. The volume control on the front... Does it also control the volume of the line out on the back?

  • @wearecreativelabs

-Bought this for my Logitech z5500 speakers. Thinking it would do 5.1 over the Spif/optical I cant get that working. In the settings its only allowing headphones or 2/2.1 but in MANAGE AUDIO DEVICES/ Supported Formats. DTS & dobey digital. Test played on all 5 speakers properly.

The problem I have no way to set this sound card to play on 5.1 for movies/game/ youtube. Only the test in the MANAGE Audio deices will work for 5.1. Is there any way to get this sound card working?

  • I have one hooked on my Mac mini 2010 with OSX 10.6.6 and it works!!! flawless

  • Hi. Can I use this card in some sort of stand-alone mode - for signal conversions (namely S/PDIF optical to analog)?.. Thanks

  • I've got the sound,I've forgotten removing the caps on the Optical Cable. But when I was playing the game, the EAX effects became unavailable in USB Sound Blaster HD SPDIF mode, totally lost this feature.Bad,very bad.

  • Sir,can you tell me why I can't hear anything through the optical port?I use the Sharkoon X-Tatic Digital to connect my USB Sound Blaster HD SPDIF.

  • hello! I would to know if it is compatible with windows 7.

    Thanks!!!

  • Does it have CMMS?

  • can this sound card make a subwoofer punch more bass??..

  • Does it actually need the drivers to run or will it pick up that it is USB audio?

  • I got x-fi usb 5.1 card, previos model i think, should i really upgrade for this though?

  • will 7.1 sarond system work if i link my amp on this through the optical, and will i get 7.1 sarround if it does?

  • I want it now ;(

  • wearecreativelabs that it is better to buy ASUS "Xonar D1" or Creative "Sound Blaster X-Fi HD"usb?

  • wearecreativelabs that it is better to buy ASUS "Xonar D1" or Creative "Sound Blaster X-Fi HD"usb?

  • @8551784 I don't think it is a good idea to ask Creative if it is better to buy their cards or their "oponent" cards.

  • So can I use it with my Mac Pro/iMac /MacBook pro/Macbook air/Mac Mini Server and airport express ?

  • @longttang For your first question, it will not work on a Mac. It has been optimized for PC users. Your second question, you will need to install software and there is a CD included in the package. For your third question, it will not work with a Mac.

  • @wearecreativelabs

I have one hooked on my Mac mini 2010 with OSX 10.6.6 and it works!!! flawless

  • @wearecreativelabs Hy Creativelabs!!! I have a question for you: i have a live band and i use creative x fi surround 5.1 for live recording...i want to know if sound blaster x fi HD has better performances for live recording..thx very much!!!

  • Sorry this is the correct Place to ask. I post in the wrong video before

  • Hi, with this card, can i adjust the bass level? Because i have the Sound Blaster X-Fi Notebook (the most new) and i can't manage the bass level like i do in the X-Fi Titanium and the difference is big between both cards (Without mention the THX and other things who don't haves the Express Card)

  • @MBeat09 Hello. Yes, you can adjust the bass level. It is very similar to adjusting the bass on the Titanium card.

  • Hi mate. Does this sound card support 5.1 channel out through the optical port?

  • @kienlion Yes, this will output for use with 5.1 speaker setups.

  • Will it work under Windows 7 and with my 2.1 Logitec speakerset? I don't have any optical chord or device or so, so I hope I can plug the speakers into the soundcard's Line Out RCA connectors. And what kind of microphone will I be able to plug in: a chat microphone, headset or maybe a real one ment for singing and such (i.e. a condensator-, overhead- or instrument mic)?

By the way, what are the benefits exactly from this optical in/out connectors? What's it used for?

  • @jobvink Yes, you will be able to use them with your Logitech 2.1 speakers. You will have no problem connecting a headset to the sound card since it comes with RCA to 1/8" adapter.

  • @wearecreativelabs Thank you, it was quite helpful.

I think I will download and read it's manual, to be sure, before buying this piece of sound technology. That should be easy to do.

By the way, you're using the device for some time now; can you tell me if you are satisfied with the sound?
