@TampoJung: The bible is widely used as a historical document. Most history is contained within non textbook documents. Regardless of whether you hold the bible as the word of god or not, many of the event described within did happen, just perhaps not exactly as described. :)
If David Barton was serious about truth, he might address the Texas Ordinance of Secession - signed by 200 white, Christian men, stating America was "established exclusively by the white race, for themselves and their posterity; that the African race had no agency in their establishment; that they were rightfully held and regarded as an inferior and dependent race" -- look it up.
@TouchOfGreatness I researched the Texas Ordinance of Secession- you claim that they were Christian men well even Obama claims that. I looked at the signers and it seems it's hard to find out what political party they were part of, was this done on purpose? I did find out something interesting, John S. Ford purchased a newspaper and changed the name from the Texas National Register to Texas Democrat. Just some food for thought.
The book that he wrote, "American History in Black and White" was the best history book I've ever read. I've learned more of American History from it then I did from all of my schooling, including college.
Bought this DVD from Wallbuilders. Great video of an amazing cover-up of America's history of slavery and the current two main political parties in America (specifically who was on what side). You may be shocked to see how much of our history taught in school is so inaccurate and in many cases completely wrong.
@mdbarnes21 I am sure you are aware that the political parties "re-aligned" - are you falling for Barton's trick? Why do you think 90% of blacks in Congress since the 60s are in the Democratic party? Because they are stupid and wanted to join a party with recent ties to the KKK?!?
@TouchOfGreatness Re-aligned huh? How about and re-writing of history. Do you really think most blacks know this deeply rooted racist history of the Democratic party?
@relaxnow Perhaps it may be more important to teach about black people that fought political battles for their liberty guaranteed in the constitution than to learn about a few individual patriotic black soldiers. But if you are advocating more black history classes, I am in agreement. Let's do it!
@TouchOfGreatness It is important to study black people that fought political battles. I highly recommend, "American History in Black in White" It is full of history of black americans fighting for their civil rights.
I'm sharing this on Facebook. I hope to help to let it spread. Thank you.
