@soaniles this penn torque comes in three sizes and 2 colors it has the versa drag which the smallest size has 38 pounds of drag and the largest has 50 pounds of drag the biggest size holds more line and costs 100 dollars less than the van staal 300 it also has 50 inches per handle turn retrieve it also comes in bailed or bailess its fully seiled made in the USA so i say its better than any spinning reel ever made. The prices for the three sizes are the s5-$500 s7-$600 and the s9-$700
i have the size 5 in black and this reel is by far the best reel i ever used i got it 2 and a half months ago, stellas are good expensive but its not the same because the bail would close on me while casting making me loose some expensive lures during the first couple weeks having the stella and this torque havnt closed on me yet and hope it stays like that :)
@KhmerDuval I haven't seen a Stella used for surf fishing, so I don't think you can say Stellas are better for that application. The fact that Penn is producing a bail-less model means they're targeting hardcore surf fishermen.
i like it.
