When I was about 7 or 8 years old, on holiday visiting family in Surrey, I went to a garden party at this man's house. He had Matthew Corbett and Sooty to entertain the kids in this huge garden with about 80 people- I remember looking down into the wooden box Sooty came out of and looking at Corbett's hairy bepuppetted arm- I prompty ran over to tell my mother and my aunt and Brian Blessed bollocked me for interrupting while they were talking.

Why is this man not cast as a Dwarf in The Hobbit??? He is absolutely perfect!!!

Word has it he was set to play Thorin Oakenshield in Guillermo Del Toro's The Hobbit, but seeing how as though Guillermo left the project, I guess its up in the air. I have absolutely no idea why Peter Jackson wouldn't cast this much talent into his upcoming film, if not as Thorin (which has already been cast) then as someone else. He encompasses every single characteristic. I say get him on The Hobbit ASAP!!!
