Ask the Meteors... They existed quite happily with Electric bass for over 20 years before they went back to upright. Works for some bands, not for others.

psychobilly is the core of the music and the outer covering (aka instruments used) does not matter as long as the band is good such as the guana batz :D

rebecca...it doesnt have to have a slap bass to be psycho...besides the guana batz only had mick white on electric bass for a few months until sam sardi replaced him on slap bass...anyway...the guana batz were one of the originals...dont judge them against whatever came later...alot of the bans claiming to be psycho have a double bass but they actually play music that owes more to punk than psychobilly

ya, the meteors didn't have a stand-up either...they added one later tho. remeber, thsi shit basically branched off form punk, and an electric bass is cheaper and easy to transport...it woulda been hard to find a stand up player into the same stuff as you....i think

@Coreymaster101 For a few months Guana Batz didn't have a stand up bassist due to complications with their original bassist. They actually use stand up bass in all of their albums, even "Held Down.. At Last!" Which debuted this song >:D
