@dicko4561 Yes, it is. In a 1980 interview with Melody Maker magazine she cited that film as the inspiration. Here is an except: "That was based on a film, a Jeanne Moreau film I once saw on the telly, when the bride's husband was killed and she sought revenge for those responsible." She spends the next 15 minutes relating the plot of the film, ending in a breathless flourish. "It was an amazing film. Can't remember what it was called, though."
I'm proud to say I bought this album, and the rest. This is still one of my top faves. The young ones are going to be deprived of all the wonderful artwork that went with albums/CS. This one was special.
But it just goes to show, revenge is God's to give- not ours. She killed her own child by killing herself! Maybe the child was a gift for her husband having to die. Fate works out in weird ways. Just leave revenge to God. Romans 12:19 says that revenge is God's only.
I would marry this woman in a hearbeat.
