  • NOUUUU My sega Broke!!!! Well, I guess its Time for A Emulator.

  • Brings back so many Memories.

    Some were Memories of Anger.

    Some Were Awesomeness.

    Mostly Awesomeness Though =)

  • Not really a fan of the Genesis soundtracks, but this and the Sonic games (No surprise there) are amazing in the sound department.

  • WHY IN THE FUCK IS ROCKET KNIGHT ADVENTURES FOR XBLA AND PSN SO LOW ?!!!! i mean the first one was epic and the two sequels for the snes and the genesis are awesome too because sparkster looked so badass at 90s with this anime style and the awesome soundtracks combined with the great level design . the remake isnt worth to give it the name rocket knight adventures! Konami japan should work for such titles because america cant make such epic stuff like japan . And its fucking true ! >=(

  • @Snyperwolf91 wtf... RKA had 2 sequels on the SNES?? I thought there was only one.

  • @bachaka61 sorry . ^^ i mean the sequel for the genesis and for the Snes. i dont mean that the genesis and the snes had 2 sequels . sorry . ;P

  • Two people clearly weren't old enough to appreciate Konami's genesis soundboard.

  • @CJBlogman

You mean two people arent old enough to remember what a Genesis/MegaDrive is lol

  • If you want to get technical. Consoles back then were hardware.. All internals in the gamepack where dedicated to the game and connected directly to the system bus.

Its a proof its not about cpu speed as an NES will boot a game faster than even the latest PC...and to me this was a time where i enjoyed paying $50 for a game.

Not today where you get some CD COPY somewhere...and force it to run on some mediocre player or idiotic storage medium.

  • J'Aime ! ! ! ! I LoVe ThIs § § § ! ! !

  • 1 had better gameplay than any of the others in the series.

  • I'd kill for a full fledged remake of rka1 (anyone that calls rocket knight a remake get your facts straight that's the 4th game in the series and I'm tired of being told it's a remake 16 years into the timeline when everything has changed with no pigstar insight and the rest).

Rocket knigh was fun but very underwhelming, treasure needs to come back, look at hardcorps, that's what rocket knight could've and should've been if they were on the project.

  • @wesker100000000 yeah it is a sequel i agree with ya simply the fact that sparkster has a family in the beginning

  • No offense to anyone, but the graphics in this game are not as great as the sequel.

Renegade, I owe you! This is my favorite music in this stage.

  • @xHEDGEHOGMAN1x Isn't that true for 99% of the sequels ever made?

  • @NorthboundFox Yes. The graphics for SPARKSTER: ROCKET KNIGHT ADVENTURES 2 are better than this.

The third ROCKET KNIGHT game I don't have, but I'm sure ITS graphics are better than both of these (only because it's in 3D).

  • @xHEDGEHOGMAN1x I don't think you understood my previous statement. Nearly every sequel for every game that ever had one, not just Rocket Night, had better graphics. Look at Sonic 1 then look at Sonic 2. Visual improvement is something to be expected in a sequel. Not every game's sequel has better graphics, but that only applies to 1% or 2% of the games ever made. :3

  • @NorthboundFox Sorry, but although SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2's graphics and sprites are better, I enjoy SONIC THE HEDGEHOG more.

  • @xHEDGEHOGMAN1x *Facepalm* You still don't understand what I'm trying to say >.> Just forget about it, there is no use in trying to explain anymore and I don't want this to become a useless argument that clogs the youtube threads.

  • @NorthboundFox Actually I understood you loud and clear. I was only referring to these Sega Genesis games.

I know there are others, too.

Including N64's THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME.

  • HELL. YES. this game. OHHHHHHH BOY. THIS GAME. <3. ONE OF THE BEST ON THE GENISIS. UP THERE WITH SONIC 3 AND KNUCKLES. <3

  • @TheGameLordz

Hell yeah this is one of the best.

  • This song is very enjoying, I'm glad this song was remade on the remade Rocket Knight

  • Best Genesis game, by far!

and one of the greatest Platformers EVER!

  • I wish i grew up wit a Genesis...

but a Gameboy is fine, too.

  • This is my second favorite genesis game. The gameplay and controls are amazing and the music is catchy too

  • Sounds very story book-ish, I like it!

  • LONG LIVE YAMAHA YM2612 CHIP!!!

  • i am so glad i sticked with the genesis back in the 90's and playing this gifted game while others were kissing SNES' ass like nobodies business.i remembered one time when my old genesis was not working anymore and my mom decided to get me an SNES,and i played it a few minutes...then i said i want my genesis back caused i missed it.and she went and brought a new genesis for me.im so glad i stayed a genesis fan.and this is one of the reasons

  • @Chepito2846

I must've been one of the only kids who liked both back in the Sega vs. Nintendo days.

  • @KayneArcheron don't get me wrong,i had a small place for the SNES.i have a few games for the system like Donkey Kong Country 2,Top Gear 2,Contra 3 and TMNT IV Turtles in Time.I have those games and i play them every now and then.but i was more of a genesis freak mostly all my life.ive had my memories with the SNES.but i will always love SEGA better.

  • @KayneArcheron Yeah I had both too, and I enjoyed both!

  • @Chepito2846 I should have tried that when I was a kid. Break one of my consoles and ask for two more? Genius! I bet you were playing Diddy's Kong Quest and Sonic the Hedgehog at the same time, you bad mother fucker.

  • @afrojayjay yea but i was mostly busy playing This,Contra Hard Corps,Sonic 3, Revenge of Shinobi and Super Street Fighter 2.And Splatterhouse 3,now that was a game i was hooked on for awhile.

  • i think i found my ringtone!!

  • Long Live the Awesome Opossum! Rocketing from our pasts and still filling us with satisfaction of his awesome adventures to this day.

  • He's the baddest opossum to every strap on a rocket pack.

  • The composers were absolutely genius.

Even after not even seeing or hearing about this game in five years since the last time I played it, the music still randomly popped into my head and I would hum along with it.

You know it's got a good soundtrack when it does that. Very memorable.

  • cant wait to play the new one for xbox!

I never really beat this game, i got to the float head thingy and kept on getting killed so i just quit. i think im gonna go get my genesis and go to playntrade and buy rocket knight again

  • this is one of those songs that define not just the genesis but the whole gaming industry at the time it deserves more fame

  • This is one of the few songs made in the 90's that still dare to look next-gen consoles in the face and tell them to fuck off! The game is awesome, but I'd pay $20 just to hear this song.

  • Besides Sonic, This is a good reason to buy the Genesis.... I meant for this music track ^w^

  • i looked this soundtrack is in the new rocket knight coming soon as we thought, in the level 1

  • BEST MEGADRIVE/GENESIS GAME EVER....BEST GAME SOUNDTRACK EVER!!!

  • Damn this game is fucking good. I recently played the new Rocket Knight game on Xbox 360. Its ehhhh. Its not really a bad game, its decent. But as a retro gamer myself, I say just stick to this title folks.

  • I was so happy to hear this song in the first level of the new version.

  • @DurandRhisham I was so sad to hear that none of the other songs are in the new version.

And the remix left out some of the best parts of this theme.

  • This game was hard as fuck.

    Very, very good game!

  • best game ever

  • An awesome platforming game. I was really glad when this game came back on Xbox Live and PSN, which reminds me, I need to get some Microsoft Points.

  • @SeanDubz713 yeah me too but i hate the art style for the new one and how he's married with a son 15 years later and still sounds like a little kid. its one or the other, not both -.-

  • @RealShurikenX well he is an opossum, and they kinda have high, squeaky voices.

  • @DurandRhisham well yeah i know, im not saying hes supposed to have a deep voice, its just u cant really have a child with a child, u gotta find a medium u know?

  • @RealShurikenX Sparkster isnt a child...

  • @Zabuza28 didnt say he was. im saying he SOUNDS like one, in the new game

  • Thanks Renegade for the upload! This was my favorite game as a child!

  • Rocket Knight!!! For the What!!!!

  • Man, this was the greatest soundtrack of the 16 bit era, hands down...

  • Good game, Good soundtrack.

  • I played the game when I was like 6...and didn't see the ending until I was 20.

Probably because I rented games back then and it was just that effing hard for a kid.

  • Just found this game a few days ago in a booth selling old games and consoles! I was really happy I found this, especially since it was only five dollars! Still can't believe it's only five dollars.

  • Hey Gotmilk0112, i am so hyped for the remake of Rocket Knight Adventures, i need it more than oxygen!

  • I loved the emotion of the game. The music, the art style, the expressions of the characters' faces. Whenever you go up against Axel it really feels like an intense match-up against your equal, and it's almost NEVER easy.

  • military style, oh right!

  • Please! Let there be new rocket knight on both ps3 and 360! And I hope they include the old soundtrack, coz they still kick ass!

  • There is going to be a new RKA on PS3/360. There's a trailer for it already.

  • Are you SHITTIN' ME?!!!! I am SOO excited!! Hell yesssssssss!

  • don't mis also the best soundtracks from the Snes version !!!

  • Man I love this game. The remake looks pretty good but I rather stick with this.

  • My brother had this game. I'd play for hours.

  • man i swear playing this game never got old, even if i beat it only once lol.

  • I would like to hear a real band play this song to hear what it might sound llike

  • People who says the Gensis sucks in the sound department, fucking bring their asses here and make them listen to this nonstop

  • I agree 100%

  • @foamyfan231 Gensis DID suck in the sound department, but it did have some musical gems. Examples like this songs makes me believe that it was probably due to laziness that the music was terrible in most games.

  • @Nuudoru7

You aren't far off with your statement. Since the Genesis uses a FM synthesizer chip, in order to create pleasant sounds, you have to know how to program it properly. FM is easy to screw up, creating totally distorted instruments. However, since it's Konami, you can always expect an excellent soundtrack, no matter on what system. They also used FM chips in their arcade games, so the knowledge how to make it sound good is obviously there.

  • @foamyfan231

    those people exist?

I just thought they were known as "Deaf"

  • @foamyfan231 I know what you mean. Yes, the SNES sound chip was technically better, but it's all in the effort that people took to make the best out of what they had, and this is a fine example of the Genesis sound ship pushed to its limit.

I once said that I liked the SNES soundtrack for Bubsy better than the Sega one, and that I thought they could have made the Genesis version's music better. If Konami could do this with a Sega game, think of what Accolade could have done with Bubsy...

  • @foamyfan231 Certain games have fantastic soundtracks (SoR series, Castlevania, This) but for the most part it was lacking the sound department. Still, it's a great song.

  • @foamyfan231 Also: Castlevania: Bloodlines, Contra: Hard Corps, M.U.S.H.A., Pulseman, Vectorman 1 & 2, Ristar, every Sonic game, Streets of Rage 1, 2, & 3, Ecco the Dolphin 1 & 2, Ranger X, Puyo Puyo, Earthworm Jim 1 & 2, Light Crusader, Dynamite Headdy, Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure, and more that I've no doubt failed to mention.

  • one of my favorite game soundtracks of all time. THANKS for posting all these great songs!!

  • You know although the genisis had pretty simple tunes (Which might had been well...in SNES commercials bout that lol) konami's apporoach with Roket Knight Advetures proved that with great composers.....the genisis music style was unique. That is some good bit tunes my friend! :D

  • To arms, men!! For God and glory...and maybe a couple girls along the way!

  • @Cam3leon Yes, Sir!!

  • Damn, what great game playing days we had back then. This is the era games were games...

  • I love this game as well, but I've never passed it either. Why am I letting sit on my shelf collecting ust?!?!?! Time to whip out my Sega Genesis!

  • Agreed.

  • Yeah man, you have to beat this game! It has one of the most epic final stage progressions, complete with multiple boss fights, and a giant mecha duel!

  • I love this game. :D

I should do a playthrough of it, as I've never actually finished it. xD

  • I played it and its just fun although I never got past level 1 (yea I suck at games) it remains fun the graphics abd gameplay are great even the music! (wich is special since the Genesis isnt that great with sound)

  • I love this game! :D

  • Like previous poster: NOSTALGIA FTW!!!

    Great game, amazing music.

Video game music like this is so unrewarded for its compostional prowess. Amazing piece, shame it isn't more recognised.

  • rocket knight = PURE ADDICTING AND FUN

  • 1 word! NOSTALGIA!! :D

I want my old Megadrive back!

  • I've never played this game, but it sure does seem awesome. The music is simply incredible.:)

  • time to get a megadrive then :D

  • Yeah, I wish.
