  • Peter Cook reminds me of Stephen Fry in this. (Both legends, by the way.)

  • Thanks for putting that right Captainzub.

  • Hate to get all anoracky but this is actually a sketch called Aversion Therapy from the 1968 series Goodbye Again. There is another (equally brilliant) sketch called The Psychiatrist from Not Only But Also in 1966.

  • Hilarious, brilliant, and just another day at the office for these guys. They turned out gem after gem whether it was comedy, Dudley with his music, D+C, or films.

Sheer brilliance and sadly missed, especially with today's dearth of any real talent whatsoever.

    Great post, thanks.

  • Interesting how "Mary" looks like Cook's first wife, and the girlfriend "Jane" looks like the second Mrs. Cook.

  • what year was this?

  • Such wonderful skits!

Love these two together, and also Beyond the Fringe.

  • Come in 5 guineas, sit down 10 guineas, how are you ? 15 guineas ! LOL

  • I remember a drug dealer saying the price as a party progressed, in Stockholm in the nineties; to his clients whom my pal and I were guests of.

  • I had forgotten so many golden age Hollywood stars were addicted to strawberry yogurt.

  • The one shrink i ever spoke to was this crazy im amused .

  • Is it me or is Peter Cook doing an impression of Peter Sellers?

    My how society has changed....

  • 'i couldnt help noticing that wen i showed you th picture of your wife mary, you emmited wt can only be described as a sponateous scream' lol

  • LOL Peter Cook is the absolute best!!!! I've yet to see anyone rival Peter Cook and Dudley Moore.

  • Unfortunately

  • pleasure, pleasure, pleasure :)

  • I love it when Pete and Dud (Dud especially) begin to laugh during parts of the sketches. You can't help but laugh and their laughter...

  • thanks very much for that, brilliant sketch

  • LOL.

  • Is the audio out of synch for anyone else? It's still brilliant though.

  • Throughout, I was struggling to retain my laughter so I could hear the dialogue. A lovely sketch and a great introduction to Peter Cook.

  • This was fantastic!

  • A brilliant parody of behaviourist psychology. Loved it!
