  • yes I know that song.. though I prefer her when she sings songs like aikuinen nainen, muutu ei mies millonkaan, pienokainen, kulku ihmisen.. but my prefered finnish singers are lea laven, hector and Katri Helena.. but it is so hard to find their albums from the seventies on the net.. no one share them...

  • Beautiful rendition... I used to love Paula's version.. but even if your voice is a lot less powerful you give it the right touch of melancholy and i like the guitar arrangement.. cheers from Rome!

  • @prugnosibillino Thank you for listening our version of this Italian classic - nice if you liked it. Perhaps it was the first time you listended it in Finnish. Greetings from Finland!

  • @maggiesband no no I know very well Paula Koivuniemi and I love many of her songs.. I'm quite used to finnish voices from the 70's..

  • @prugnosibillino Oh, we didn't know that. We have seen her live a couple of times, I think you have heard her fist hit "Perhonen" (Butterfly) form 1966 which made her pretty famous - and she still is.

  • I've got a lump in my throat and I have no idea what your singing about! Beautifully performanced as ever. It sounds sad and I love a bit of pathos. Thanks for posting. guys.

  • @navim49 Hi Nav, thanks for listening and commenting. This Italian oldie won San Remo's Music Festival 30 years ago, and quite many Italian songs from that time are still popular in this melancholy country, if they have good translations. I have added a link to Italian and English lyrics to info, and aligned to the Finnish title "Does the night hear me?" it tells about lonely night meditation...

  • Really a lovely piece. Well done!

  • @SW94929 Thank you Stan! I don't know if you know this melancholy Italian pop song, but it was popular some decades ago there and it seems to remain it here.

  • The usual blend of lovely vocals, gentle guitar and beautiful images. Well done, you two; a very pleasant three and a half minutes. Thumbs up and regards as usual!

  • @raffaport Thank you for listening, Graham. This classic was randomly picked from a song book when we noted we did not have anything on list. A sad self-repeating melody, great Finnish lyrics, and we just attempted to get into its feeling quickly, before we would try some other song.

  • Good Morning Maggie a pleasure to listen to as always

  • @TheBeestoncowboy Good morning and thank you, cowboy! Nice if you liked our version of this popular and sad oldie.

  • @Hippie1944 Thanks for stopping by and listening, Hippie!

  • How to transform a very poor little pop song into a great song: THANKS.

  • @marcoacca Thank you Marco! We were thinking that you might know this song much better than we, and were preparing for harsh critics, but great for being merciful and giving time to listen.
